This is post 3, I think. This is why there's no solidarity in our community. We derail ourselves, it's not white people. Yes, their system put us in this position, but we have tools to make something out of it but it takes faith, vision, and momentum.
Breh, if 100% of black people aren't with it we will fail. We're fighting ALL members of the white race internationally and other minority and special interest groups. It pisses me off because I see many leaders and no soldiers. I'd love to play soccer, but being black is a tennis game. Or a handicap match at times. It is what it is.
Exactly, I refuse to support those establishments. Why don't some of the members from this site get together and invest in a startup? I think we should invest in the start up we're on right now. The Coli already is the premiere black news site for everything. There are well informed, well educated, and experienced black folks posting here already. I don't like putting my real ideas in public spaces like this, but it'd work. We could cover everything from a black perspective. I skate in the city everyday. I could host a column on it. I cook vegetarian, vegan, GF, and conventional foods professionally. There are some great home cooks on here. We have former semi professional athletes on here. We have travelers of the world. Tons of anime, music, tech, and art nerds. Wrestling. Mainline sports. Soccer. Cycling. Motor sports. College advice.etc.
Step 1: Stop declaring what needs to happen.
Step 2: Make SOMETHING happen.
Step 3: Tweak, implement, tweak, implement, repeat.
Step 4: Wonder why you spent so much time trying to convince other folks to "come together" instead of making moves and letting the like-minded come along.
