It's the goddamn US government, the cats who can't keep themselves from being self-appointed guardians of the world order and bringers of "peace and democracy" to contries in turmoil. Did they give a shyt about their own internal issues when they entered a number of wars in the past? fukk no. They care more about their international political projection than enhancing the quality of life of their population. Fact. And that's how world powers are made.
It's not just the US that thinks that way either, most governments are like that, but the US is the one with the military strength to exhert dominance so of course it's them taking action.
