US states by black population(2017 Census)

The pleasant surprise is those western states. The black growth in those states isn't talked about. I was surprised to see that there are 300,000 plus black ppl in AZ.

I'm not sure the black population is actually growing in those states, at least it certainly isn't in California. 2.3 million in 2010 to 2.5 million now

it's not really surprising since many black people are moving back south. mainly to Texas and Georgia.

The black population has to be growing in AZ and Nevada and Washington. It's hard to imagine that 300,000 black ppl in those states is actually less than they've ever had. Cali may be losing black ppl, but Alot of those black ppl just end up moving to nearby western states. The furthest east California Blacks seem to be moving in droves, is Texas and maybe a little bit of them move to GA. But for every black person CA loses, it seems interior western states like AZ and NV gain those black ppl.

Black Americans slowly but surely heading back to the Black Belt. Let them white folks have the Midwest. Start comin back home. Get some land.

Don't let them have anything that isn't there's. If you're black and own anything of value up that way(Midwest, Northeast, Out West) than keep on keeping on. Don't just up and leave and "let white folks have it".

Yeah, I moved out here to Arizona from Ohio, and I swear like 80% of the time I meet someone else black, they mention they're from somewhere in the Midwest. There's a LOT of folks from Chicago out here.

I know there's been a migration of White Midwesterners to the southwest..I didn't know it was a trend amongst black Midwesterners also.

Delaware is VERY underrated place. I’m surprised more brehs don’t move there like they do Atlanta and Charlotte. Low taxes, ALOT of jobs, and relatively good public schools. And it’s close to philly,bmore, and dc....

Speaking of dc I’m shocked it’s still majority black. The city seemed REAL cacced out when I was there In April. Like shockingly so and I’ve been to dc plenty of times but this last time felt different

You get my drift, "this is America ". People should still be able to move about freely. But according to migratory patterns we have clear cut evidence of who prefers to live where. All the "others" get in where they fit in... Indian reservations aside. Since America is on this separatist tip. And we seem to be headed that way.

Well, at one point I'm sure DC used to be 80% black. It's "only" 47% black today, which relative to how black it used to be, it may make the city feel like its totally cacced out.

Whites aren't relegating themselves to certain states. The south may be the blackest region, but it's still predominantly White. Hell, whites are starting to move back into previously respected black havens. No where could realistically be "blacks only".



Not even the south. That's a fantasy...

But black ppl can make the best of what we'd do have.

Surprised many don't know about Deleware. Anyways I personally feel that in a few decades GA will be majority Black.
