WindowsSpyBlocker

About

WindowsSpyBlocker 🛡️ is an application written in Go and delivered as a single executable to block spying and tracking on Windows systems.

The approach of this project is to capture and interpret network traffic based on a set of tools. Depending on the interactions between services and source or destination of traffic, rules are created and sorted by assignment.

The Truth
The seamless communication between apple devices is the true benefit to having mac hardware.
Right

I support their eco system

Apple/Mac has flaws but pale in comparison to Windows.

That Surface Laptop has a newer ARM processor so it's not gonna run like a traditional laptop while it gets optimized.

Surface Laptops are pretty good but the Mac Air is probably the best laptop for most people right now.

I bought my niece a surface last year for HS but thats what she asked for and she is an artist, so I assumed it was for that reason mainly.

I also bought my sister one when she was in HS and she’s used it ever since as far as I know. She works at Microsoft now so I’m sure they gave her better shyt but she liked the Surface too.

Thats my only experience with them.. they’re cool. I basically turned my ipad into a laptop for traveling, but I’ve been considering another Mac Air for traveling as well just because I like the tech.

As long as there are virtual machines i don’t see why anyone would own an actual Windows system though, unless it’s for specialized use or something.

If you go down the linux rabbit hole it gets more elitists this version (distro) is better than that one. And they bicker back and forth.

What distro are you guys using for most your home needs?
You aren't wrong.

I use Debian but it was a lot of stress learning in the beginning. I would actually recommend Mint. They're the most popular distro ATM for vets that just want something that works, or newbies that want something that feels like Windows. Most YouTube reviews reach the same conclusion

Enjoy the bloatware, random updates, pop ups and spontaneous re boots

What makes windows bad in your guys' opinion?

I can think

* forced updates that can slow your computer down before

* bloated RAM

What else?

it makes no sense now that windows computers prices are comparable to mac's in 2025. there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to ever get a windows machine. I have one for work, and it's :trash:

fukking windows laptop routinely be updating itself when I don't even consent to said update without me having saved my work and what not. shyt is terrible.

For the love of god, what are yall doing with your computers? I'm a cybersecurity vet, site and network support before that. Vast majority of the computers I work with are Windows. This nonsense about random updates and pop ups is just not true. This is like some shyt that people that decide to dislike Windows or stan Macs come up with.

I didn't move to Windows 11 for a while and finally moved to it when I bought a new gaming laptop recently. Pretty straightforward and streamlined experience. But you get online and people are talking about the wildest shyt.

"Oh, Windows 11 is awful, it'll just all of a sudden erase itself and revert to Windows XP". :troll:

It's always the wildest shyt I see. I'm thinking to myself, either I'm the luckiest guy on earth, or these people are full of it. I know which one I suspect.

i made the mistake of updating my desktop after disabling the update for 4-5 years and it basically boots up in a boot loop since last august.

only did it just to get the latest .net framework :francis:
Wow. I have no words. :heh:

Bruh, a you do realize a lot of us has also owned windows systems before :mjlol:

And if you're working in an enterprise environment, you probably don’t have the random popups and updates/restarts.

But yes… Updates can be adjusted as well in settings… windows is just ass

I honestly don't know. But I DO know people get really territorial when it comes to this type of shyt. And that leads to odd behavior. If you like macOS or whatever your OS or product of choice is, you can't just like it.....the other guy has to be absolutely stupid not to use it. So yeah, I do think some the shyt is either completely made up, or vastly overexaggerated.

Of course I realize it. That doesn't mean the claims aren't either overexaggerated or just flat out false. And Win 11 needed no settings adjustments out the box. There simply are no random updates involved. That claim is so goofy to me. Like your just minding your own business happily posting on the Coli and then Windows just suddenly snatches control away from you and starts updating for an hour. That shyt is crazy.

Then that is your experience

I’m not even going to shyt on Windows 11 yet because I don’t even know if I’ve seen it or yet alone even tried it. (I no longer pay attention to what OS we use now because we are mostly virtual).

And you are specifically talking about Windows 11 it seems… I’m talking about since DOS until now. I have not cared for a single Windows OS after 98.

And I will say this… I used to fix pc’s and laptops in my free time in the barracks for people. I never once saw a Mac or Linux anything.

And yes, random reboots are a thing and still are. I still get them now at work I just can cancel them or run a powershell command to cut it off.

Yeah, if you somehow still don't know how to use the machines we've been using on a daily basis for like 3 decades. What you just described is eliminated with 2 minutes worth of setting changes and uninstalls...you know, "customization"? Oh wait, you're an Apple user, obviously. You don't know much about customization and freedom to do what you please on the device you paid for...

And please tell me; who benefits from an M4 outside of graphic designers, engineers, or others that require a high powered device? 99% of people are getting on social media and doing word processing. Buying an M4 when you can spend $200 on a old ass Pentinum processor to get on Facebook or type a paper is retarded. Plus damn near everything is cloud-based now anyway so even graphic designers can get away with a potato...

Can't game and 3D designers rely on graphics cards that are way more powerful than what the mini and studio provide...

upgradeability is another factor too

I'll give you that. I dont game but if you do then you definitely gotta look at differently.
