SO i'm shopping for an Honda Element for a business i'm starting up. Not trying to spend no more than 4 or 5k so i'm looking at 2006 and older models. Long story short I find a 2005 Honda Element with 96k miles. The kelly bluebook is like 6 or 7 grand. They got it listed for over $13,000 :snoop:

A 17 year old Honda that they don't even make anymore listed for $13,000? And it's a dealership.

The price gouging going on in this country is unreal.

I just googled that car

"People were too concerned with more traditional SUVs and didn't quite yet appreciate the beauty of the Element. So, Honda discontinued it, only to realize years later that there were actually many silent fans of this boxy crossover.Mar 7, 2023"

And even saw it was being called a potential future classic, plus its a honda. Im going to just suggest you look for something else. Im going to suggest a Nissan Xterra if you need an suv. I think the ones before 2005 are what you would want. There was some type of coolant/oil mix issue with later models. Not sure exactly what years. I got one recently and like it so far, research said they were pretty reliable. 150K miles for 5000$. I wanted an Infiniti m35,but rejected my impulse to by a European trapping. Plus it jumped from 10000 to 13000 while I was playing hardball waiting for the prices to drop. I spent a year saying "Any day now:mjgrin:" with these car prices. Had to have spent at least 5K on ubers. Couldve just bought the damn car the first time i saw it:francis:

How much was it going for? What was the starting bid?

Some private sellers will jack up the price if it’s modded.

Not really modded; just had spacers on the suspension and bigger wheels and tires. And I think they gave him between $12-15k for it since that's all he was looking for. (Sidenote: don't ever tell the dealer the amount you're looking for on a trade in).
