the difference are the publishers. 2 of the 3 major publishers aren't using drm right now and ea literally just got rid of it's drm.

They got rid of online passes because they have another plan in the works.

If used game restrictions are "up to the publisher" on both systems. Why would a publisher implement restrictions on one platform and not on the other?

Show me a gaming company that is OK with used games? I think in the Long run y'all gonna be duped. But I think that Sony might be on top by then.

in the long run i'll have both systems and i have steam which ironically enough is what these companies are trying to be. to me drm on consoles is :mindblown: because consoles was supposed to be less complicated you know put your game in and play. now they're just as complicated but nowhere near as powerful.

and before anybody brings up kb/m, you can use a joystick for most games released on the pc

There is no saving some of you. No the drm is not just for checking installed games, if that was the case then they could have given you the option to choose to not install. The DRM is there for Microsoft and publishers to guarantee a certain amount of control and revenue from the consumer. Anybody that believes otherwise is foolish.

The Original Rec Room Gang
Resident insider CBOAT on Neogaf confirmed it. He even leaked the possibility of PS4 online not being free anymore. :to:

that nikka has been spot on the whole time... : wow:

I just hope he doesn't get exposed.

Say what you want about Gaf, but them nikkaz got the scoop. :y eshrug:
Right, cuz I haven't been telling you the exact same thing for 5yrs now :stopitslime:
As long as somebody says it on a racist tranny burial ground, its fact to you. Gotcha
My son, this is to clear up that statement please read the article and stop acting a damn fool for an inanimate object.
He's not, you clearly didn't understand what you posted. You should apologize for your reading deficiency :snoop: From YOUR LINK...
we will not dictate the online used game strategy (the ability to play used games online) of its publishing partners. As announced last night, PS4 will not have any gating restrictions for used disc-based games.
I'm big, you are bold. What you did here was ignore the big because they sweet talked you at the end :pachaha:
The PS4 will not have mandatory DRM, it will just let the people who asked for it to decide whether or not to include it. Thats what its saying, its double talk. Its BLATANTLY LYING if you fast enough to catch it.

NOW YOU GUYS KNOW WHY I DON'T FUKK WITH SONY
:birdman:
:dahell:
Actually M$ is deciding the used game restrictions for Xbox1, not publishers.
Is that a fact :ohhh: Ok, lets see a link to that kind sir who isn't mad
No you didn't read it right. Those are microsofts restrictions as a publisher. But other publishers will be able to decide and set their own restrictions or not.

The daily check in is because Xbox one games are played directly off the hardrive. So the check is there to make sure you have not installed your game on multiple differnt machines.
Its simple to understand. Basically same as Steam. PC gamers been gaming this way for years. So if you PS4/PC? You basically saying PS4/Xbox ONE
But they can lie to themselves because they like being lied to. Sony does it to them weekly :cape:

The PS4 will not have mandatory DRM

but XB1 does. that's the difference, friend

even games without publisher-enforced DRM will have the XB1 DRM that disallows reselling of games on places like eBay and your favorite, Craigslist

Last night I was ready to jump ship. Now I'm all confused. I will go back to waiting a year after both consoles are released and decide then.

Yea but M$ just happens to be the publisher that also created the machine. So their policies trumps all those other publisher policies which pale in comparison to the restrictions M$ has on the games/system. EA's policies aren't gonna matter when you can't loan your friend a game on day 15:smh:

Keep fightin' the good one though :beli:

Again the 30 day restriction is decided on by publishers. Sony said restrictions are up to publishers as well. Do you think a publisher will enforce restrictions on one system and not enforce them on another?
