making pop records to stay afloat after your album flops is NOT experimenting.

Confessions came out in 2004.

Which is exactly when I mentioned my cut off and said dude started experimenting after.

He tried to be a grown up I'm in love Usher on "here I stand" and people weren't trying to hear that from him, he has not regained the form he showed from 97-2004

But he is a legend off that time period.

There's tiers of R&B/soul legends of course
but for anyone to say Usher ain't one at all is silly.

he's went pop/euro/whatever you wanna call the last 10 years off and on no argument there

Usher hasn't been the same since he got divorced. Point blank, he's a shell of himself.

I wouldn't mind these numbers if the album was good (he's an older R&B singer, nobody is really asking/looking for an Usher album so it's understandable) but Hard II Love was awful and promoted quite a bit. He should've dropped an album like two years ago after Good Kisser and She Came To Give It To You with Nicki.

Usher tried to make grown music and y'all lamed out on Here I Stand. He had a more grown single in Good Kisser and y'all lamed out again. Meanwhile his EDM shyt and I don't mind was charting high.

Usher just needs to put a dad hat on and sing like crap. He'll be back on top in no time

This... people talking bout he need to make music for his age group... but when he did, nobody gave a fukk.....Usher is hybrid R&B/Pop star...... he has a foot in both lanes unlike Maxwell, D'Angelo and a few others....

A lot of these new nikkas grew up on Usher(who grew up on Mike), not MJ. Motherfukkers don't remember Mike in his prime like that.

LIKE I SAID. he tried to get out of the popcorn lane, FAILED, and then started making pop records in hopes of staying afloat. now hes doing one-hit wonder type songs with young thug.

and why are yall still arguing with me about the bolded? I never said hes not a legend. all I said was that hes not the type of legend that a lot of yall are in here making him out to be. lol. WHAT DONT YALL UNDERSTAND!!!!!?????

I actually agreed with you on the tiers of legends part man, those do exist, you can't compare him to a Michael, a Prince a Marvin. That'd be insane  nobody's arguing in here, at least i'm not :manny:
