He had influence, No MJ had influence over all of them because all of them are trying to catch up to MJ.
Usher one of the best, no, sorry, he is no MJ. He is no prince. He is no James Brown. He isn't even close to it. Mainly because he can't fukking sing.
Yes when i talk about R&B with my peers we talk about singers, not hits, Usher has hits, very successful, his voice is what makes almost always ignored or not talked about. Same with 112, hits, no strong singers in the group. Whereas Sisqo, Kci and jojo, R. Kelly, Carl Thomas, Eddie Levert, Aaron hall, and etc those are the people I talk about when talking about R&B. I'll throw in Anthony Hamilton, maxwell, babyface, Kevon edmunds, MArc Dorsey, and etc as well.
Usher to me isn't in that class, and maybe its because I'm a bit older so I didn't grow up listening to and thinking Usher was the be all end all, because i know who he was listening to as well, and i heard and saw the MJ videos and concert films.
