As an aside, I've always fukked with Vado as far as MCs go. Dude is nice with the rhymes. But I don't ever really see him blowing up.
"Not to mention the countless NY street artists that have been successful at Interscope
) Such as?
50 Cent? He had Eminem and Dr. Dre in his corner, when they were the top 2 people in rap music. Vado had Cam (who hasn't had any recent successes to warrant serious industry power) and that cornball Mendeeses or whatever his name is that was just on Love & Hip Hop as Yandy's baby daddy (yes, that guy is Vados manager)
And all the G-Unit successes were because 50 was THEIR bodyguard at Interscope.
Kinda different don't you think?
If we're talking Interscope handling NY rappers, let's not forget how they fumbled Busta's album with Aftermath. shyt was one of the best rap albums of the last 10 years, IMO, full of hit singles, and yet they barely got behind it.
The LOX did ok for themselves I guess, but again, they had Dee, Wah, and the whole Ruff Ryder camp to make sure shyt got done right.
What other NY rappers have done well there?
And really, who's done well at Interscope that wasn't co-signed by someone else? You know that's how Interscope does shyt, right?
Game was cold, they put him with 50. They signed Slim Thug, and then thought it wise to put him with Pharrell (changing his sound, alienating his core fanbase, BTW). When Jimmy saw something in Lady Gaga, he got at Akon. And on and on.
If you don't have an industry heavyweight backing you up, you're gonna drown over there (Wale anyone?)

the big bang was one of the best albums of the last 10 years to you?![]()
If we're talking albums put out by major labels, yeah breh. Top 10 at least. I think it's Busta's best work, by far, and I like Busta Rhymes catalog a lot more than others seem to.
to each their own, i thought it was fairly received. i'd give it a 3-3.5
Might want to give it another spin breh, it's quite good.

you picked several songs on there that i would've picked if i had to recommend this album to someone
"Nah, i didn't get dumped. We both just decided to see other people. I gotta girlfriend at a different school anyway"

:You're getting dropped.

wow, that might be the dumbest thing i've read all day. interscope is a multi-national record label with offices in all major cities. that's like saying, "i don't like eating mcdonalds over in san francisco. they don't make the big macs the way they do in queens."
