but in reality, if restaurant owners paid their wait staff normal salary.... nobody would tip cause of "service"
you wouldn't even have this "tip" type of shyt going on... nobody would, and nobody would care
we've been systematically shamed into this "they only make...." or "well they are at your beck and call" type excuses... when the real shame should go at owners, who get a break, by getting an employee for 2.13 an hour... they then use you, the customer, to pay the rest of their wages, then chalk it up to "service"
NO OTHER INDUSTRY GETS AWAY WITH THIS
there are PLENTY of service industries... and have employees wait on you hand and foot, literally... and they don't get paid 2.13 by their employers, and are asked to make up the other 8 dollars and hour on the customers dime
now because that is the case, yes i tip... i literally feel bad for the server if i leave a bad tip (shame)... but not because i truly felt she did that great a job... or that 100 plate made her service that much better than if i ordered a 20 plate...
but if we are going off logic here... there's no reason for me to order a 20 steak, sit for 20 mins and leave 5 dollars and be considered good... and ordering a 1000 steak, staying for 20 mins and leaving a 50 tip and being a total a$$hole who deserves to get my food slung down the crack of your ass
even if we're lower than Euros across the board all these fukkin leeches raping the hospitals and 'programs' for bums really do take a toll on my checks 
but not as much as euros 
but still
