.....So was Sean Penn's character in the movie also an "abomination".....
....Its probably going to win best picture. The rest of the people with Van thinks its the best of the year (maybe even decade)Heard nothing but good things about this movie and her performance. Might actually see this in theaters.

Yea Boogie Nights is legit great imo. Its like a Scorsese film in a lot of ways.I hadn’t seen the movie so I don’t a take. People seem to love the director. I may have seen one of his movies.
I think Van is pretty level headed so I wonder if his take is true. When I saw she was in the movie I wondered why. Why not get a real actress? No disrespect to her, she has heat and is doing her thing but why did they cast you over somebody who has been in the game for 10 years+.
I may see it this weekend.
Coli movie Brehs is Booogie Nighhts worth a watch? CACs make it seem like it’s one of the greatest 90’s movies.

Pretty much what Double Toasted said. And I trust Martin. Its probably going to win best picture. The rest of the people with Van thinks its the best of the year (maybe even decade)
Boogie Nights is great. Its basically John Holmes story mixed in with fiction. If youve ever seen the Wonderland Murders you might recognize a few plot lines. But overall, amazing film.I hadn’t seen the movie so I don’t a take. People seem to love the director. I may have seen one of his movies.

The discourse around this has been entertaining. White people are in love with it. Some of the harshest critiques of the portrayal of Teyana's character I've seen have been from nominally leftish or liberal black men
And some of the strongest defenses have been from nominally leftish or liberal black women

Yeah I'm seeing conflicting things. Might go check out the early showing todayHeard nothing but good things about this movie and her performance. Might actually see this in theaters.
