Weird. I thought this was mainly a hip hop site. Maybe its sports people are here for...

I feel you
It does feel like this place ain't as hip-hop oriented as it used to be, but the Coli is still the shyt tho.

Like more nikkas had a passion for this shyt back then and more members were interested in hearing these joints.
The 1st one, had cats hype.
Various_Artist-The_Coli_Mixtape_Volume_1-2012

The 2nd one was still live, nikkas were actually still discussing songs and bars and reviewing shyt.
[Coli Official] Various Artists - Black Friday: The-Coli Mixtape Vol. 2 (2012)

then slowly that shyt kinda died and nikkas lost interest, threads stopped doing numbers.

Coli Tunnel Gang (Official Release Thread)

*New* Coli Tunnel Horror Collection EP

and now this one just dropped, which was dope to me because it was different from the others and had it's own vibe and theme. Hopefully the glory days can come back for the next one. This one was a good start for the Coli music resurgence tho. I'm proud of these dudes.

I think we should set up a thread for the artist of TheColi to post their soundcloud, youtube, and instagram links. If someone is working on a project, music video, performance, etc. We spend countless hours talking about artist that are already established. Which is cool. But, I think we can also do that for the brehs on here trying to make a name for themselves. If we don't support each other then who else will. Once again salute to this amazing project! This finally knocked ATCQ out of my rotation list at work. :obama:

The Last of the Outlaws
Wrote this up as I listened, nothing fancy just my thoughts

"Nature Boy JR by Roxx the 96'er Produced by Kid Ocean"

Track sounds very polished. Beat clean and banged on my beats wireless. One of the biggest wrestling fans on this site so I was a sucker immediately for the track. Roxx's flow is rabid. And I mean that as a compliment. He's not rapping to he's attacking the beat. Song felt short which left me wanting more. Smart tactic

"Wali feat Majesty Da God - Shepard for the Sheep Produced by BandoKalrissie"

Those horns and that bass line. fukking ominous. Gotdamn I like the hook a lot, love the first guys voice. Has a gritty angst to it. Second voice sounds like one of wisdom. I can visualize both emcees faces while they spit and I've never seen either before in my life. Good work here fellas. Song is polished

"Jimmy Valentine - Galaxy"

Song has a very modern bounce to it. Like I could hear it in a black and white iPhone commercial filled with slow mo drone shots etc. Yeah. I'd shop this to someone like Gary Vaynerchuk straight up. I'd send him a link on Twitter to this song

"Roxx the 96'er - Million produced by Nat the Genius"

"Shoot 50 times like he think he Kobe"
Can't add much to this beyond saying the song has a professional feel both lyrically and on the production side. Could easily draw up a video treatment around this song. Once again was left with the feeling of wanting to hear more

"Alan - November Story Freestyle"
I love the distance between the almost Nas like vocal projection and the off in the distance track. It's a sweet ambience. Not to compare you and Nas because you are your own emcee. That much is obvious 30 seconds in

"Feel like I'm the only one that's real, surrounded by bad intentions I'm just saying how I feel"

That's real shyt.

"AnthonMuzik - The 28th (Rap Tunes Interlude)"

The chorus is simple, memorable and effective. Likely will be stuck in my head today. Thanks for that :pachaha: I can get my brain to wrap video ideas around this easily too. Nike, Adidas, NBA strong instrumental right here. I wouldn't let anyone spit on this. It's talking on its own

"Tflasha - Ain't No Thang"

Started nodding immediately to the first few stabs. Flow entered perfectly and was like linked to that beat. I love that hook. Song just feels good. Has a boxer/MMA fighter walkout rhythm to it like if you've ever seen 24/7 by HBO Boxing this is the kinda track they'd build around telling an underdog story. Damn good work here

"Tflasha - Yung Money"

"This one is mean. I'd deadass add this to my lifting weights playlist today. Between the aggressiveness of the lyrics/vocals and the track I'm picturing pacing and rapping along between sets. You have a knack for this kinda song it seems, this also would make for a great walkout song especially boxing.

"HipKnotic - Overdose"

Clean production, I can hear the air on the fukking hi hats. Nice! I'm always gonna be sucker for battle rap/brash braggadocio songs especially when they're done convincingly so I'm over here nodding along and smiling while listen.

"Alan - I'll come Through produced by AnthonMuzik"

I'll have to listen to this again on the weekend and see if it gives me that same initial feel. This is a getting ready for the night song. A lil cognac, a fresh lineup and a "you can't tell me shyt" attitude song. I'm not even in the mood for this type of track this early in the AM but I can tell you it's good. That chorus is a problem for real, I can picture trying to croon it with a drink or two in me sounding off key as shyt

"BlackDroog MuSick - The Deviant (Interlude)"

Feels like danger is impending. Like something seriously fukked up is about to happen in 1:34 seconds and you best prep yourself to deal with it. Deadass felt a bit of tension that I couldn't shake during the duration listening to this. But that's a good thing. It invoked a feeling without needing words.

"Sweeney- Hades Produced by Alexander Preston"

Gonna imagine the emcee is a young bull with an old soul. You can hear that in the vocals. I'd be shocked if I was wrong. Got that prime LL Cool J brashness, I like that. I find myself believing you when I'm listening to you boast on this track because you spit with a coy conviction

"Sweeney - Extra produced by Luxury"

That name Sweeney is unique and catchy. Like you won't forget a name like that. Chorus is dooope. Never smoked a day of my life but you got me feeling like I need to roll up one like :manny" just feeling like being extra. It's like you beat Big Sean to the punch on that hook not to say it sounds like him but I could deadass picture him or Drake trying to steal it. I like this song and like I said I don't even get high.

"The Specialist Music- Putting it Down"
That beat feels like 2005/2006 but in a captures the feel not an outdated manner
This is OG Music. It'd be a bit disrespectful to play this song on any device that isn't capable of delivering devastating low frequencies. Has almost Spice 1 vibes.

"BluFlame James - TheLight (Interlude)
Ol Charismatic ass Pimp C (RIP) talking that shyt leading into a kinda haunting instrumental. There's a feel of "I'm not sure how but shyt is gonna be alright" to it

"The Specialist Muzik- Weeknight"
"Shout out to the homie with the deadstock Tiffanies" :heh:
Emcee is loaded with charisma, that can't be taught. You can feel it bleed out the track, not the most technical emcee BUT by no means do you need to be. You're likeable, relatable and charismatic which is a leg up on a LOT of rappers. I got that from 2:14 seconds of knowing of you. Good shyt

"R$G Meta - THISISNOTTRAP Interlude"

No. No. It is not trap. Very clean track. I don't even know that id want to hear anyone spit to this. It'd be like walking on marble floors in dirty chucks, show some fukking manners. Instrumental makes me think of clean minimalism in a commercial

"Tflasha - Crash Course"
Third track I'm hearing from you. Yep you're official on my "keep an eye on/ear on this cat" you've got a "ready for whatever" sound.

"Dudes tough on social media but never get physical". Talk. That. shyt. Tflasha.

"Timothy Neal - So Predictable" Produced by AnthonMuzik"
Need more songs like this out front and center to cut down on all the fronting going on. Felt like this was aimed at the instachatrapper crowd and every word of the track meant something. I felt this track. that's as high a compliment I can offer an emcee is to say I felt you. I felt you here Timothy Neal :salute:

"GP B3ar" Pacified (Interlude)
being slightly buzzed irresponsibly driving a car with V8 engine in it thinking I was cool vibes.

interlude has a "yeah. .. I'm fukking cool and I don't care who disagrees" smoothness.

"R$G Meta - On my Soul Produced by KenKen Killt it"

This has grit, excellent emceeing, strong pairing of beat to rapper. I wish this was the last track of this. It has that feel of this is where I drop your ass off for now. This is gonna be tough to follow. Slight critique. Hook vocals should be louder because this is an anthem!

I WILL be back to listen to the rest of the album tonight and write my ramblings. Talented ass muthafukkas I post amongst for real
