I don't want to eat meat anymore. :dame:

I'm a healthy eater but it's actually more about the animals than anything.
I love em:unimpressed:

All I know is it's not good to just quit eating meat cold turkey (at least from what I've heard) so how did you guys eventually stop eating meat?

Right now the only animal products I eat are chicken breast and eggs.

If I can find a good chicken replacement I won't touch meat again.

But I noticed alot of the meat substitutes have sodium levels through the roof.

Can y'all help me out?

Will you still eat eggs? If so transition could be pretty easy.

Meat 15-20 years ago was of much better quality, these days it is real bad and the mass production of it is wild. Pumping animals with things to make them bigger to sell more etc.

I still eat meat just less of it but there is no doubt in my mind the healthier option is to cut out meat.

Learn how to cook at home. Green veggies, sweet potatoes, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, green onions, legumes, plantains, rice etc.

Pepper and proper seasoning go a long way. Stay away from processed foods. You can replicate your own if you want.

cauliflower is a pretty good chicken replacement. i was shocked how similar it tasted

i keep seeing that kind've shyt but havent pulled the trigger the try.....like fried cauliflower or buffalo cauliflower wings. A lot of spots use jackfruit as a pork replacement as well, like jackruit carnitas tacos.

i'm not a vegetarian, but i eat lots of vegetarian meals. so my perspective is that of a meat eater. buffalo cauliflower was very pleasant. i suggested it to other meat eaters & they liked it.

Im trying to make the switch to a plant based diet ( lots of research on improved cardiovascular mortality)
- im struggling with what to eat on a daily basis outside of mixxed veggies, whole grains, or fruit
- im not a fan of beans/lentils. Hate the texture:scust:
- im one week in, but struggling :mjcry:

not a vegetarian...but Quorn products are really good.

If you really want to stop eating meat...stop thinking so much and just stop doing it.
Its not like youre going to go into convulsions like someone giving up dope.

Find out ways to replace the protein.

I am not going full vegan but my health has gotten better since I went as close to plant based only as possible.

Only time I really eat meat is when I get invited out somewhere or if I really crave it I cook something at home.
