Wassup yall, im just wondering where my fellow vegans & vegetarians at?

how long you been at it & do you feel being a black vegan/vegetarian is harder then being a white one?
Vegan for the last 3-4 years. Vegetarian for 12 or so years prior.

I wouldn't know if it's harder/easier as a Black man.

I wonder if anyone in DC has tried that everlasting cafe on ga ave yet.
I've been. It's cool. To many soy products for me though.

I can't think of a single thing I had before I was a vegan that I feel like I haven't had an alternative too that's just as good if not better than the real thing.

For cheese this is literally just as good.

I've had Mac and cheese that literally is :wow:

The BEST Vegan Mac n’ Cheese | Detoxinista

shyt is banging.

For burgers, chicken patties etc. Gardein makes some good ass mock meats.

Even PORK I've had some good ass imitation pork from some Vegan Asian spots I been to.
I literally haven't found something I "miss".

My wife is doing it for a school project and I don't want to be a dikk and eat pizza, steak and shrimp in front of her, so I decided I'd do it with her so she's not alone.

Its all psychological.
You don't love meat too much, you love whats on the meat. (Which is mainly plant based)

Meat has no flavor.
People who claim to "love meat" think they do because of the flavor thats added to it. For example, tacos.
Nobody eats tacos with bland, unseasoned ground beef. Its the taco seasoning, the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, etc that is givig it the flavor that people like.

Try eating your steak like real meat eaters (carnivores) eat it and see if you like it.
Meaning raw, no salt, pepper, any other seasoning, no sauce, etc. Just raw steak on a plate. Then we'll see if you really just love meat.

(:whoa: this is not a bash post. Im just preaching a lil because i have a passion)

Some of that pork is vegetarian though. Just like some of those ChikN nuggets and breakfast sausage.

And i like Daiya cheese but you HAVE to eat it at most within 3 days.
After that it starts tasting like elementary school vomit.

I never had that issue with Daiya cheese. I usually have it all but done in a few days anyway. I use it mainly for sandwiches and burgers and sometimes Mac and Cheese but that recipe I posted doesn't even use Daiya.

I been eating some raw food recipes lately and I found this raw taco meat recipe that's frigging tasty. It's texture is not completely like the cooked version where it's super soft and hot but the raw version is really tasty.

You cannot be disgusted by white supremacy and still eat meat they way you do, its ultimately hypocritical
