Where'd you move to breh ?I wouldn’t move to Texas period
Albeit I did move to another red state
I actually have peace of mind
The three major cities ain’t what they used to be
I don’t count San Antonio cuz ain’t no nikka ever in history said
Man San Antonio is lit
I haven’t been to Dallas/Fort Worth in years so I can’t speak on them
But Austin and Houston
Houston changed dramatically and ain’t been the same since 2018
The influx of people thinking they going to go down there and eat/live a good life
Only to be hit with high property taxes if you own a home
Move into flood plains and not know it
Insurance premiums kicking ass
Cars getting broken into
Getting scammed out they draws
Job market just as tight as anywhere else
Hurricanes and heat for the majority of the year
Unreliable power grid and infrastructure
Them good old HTINE days been over
Austin was the shyt back in the day
Texas Relays and it actually being a weird place then gentrification came and the racism can be felt in the air
Yea, Yea I know Austin nikkas will callbut nah that places ain’t been the same since 15/16
To end this soliloquy, if you have any power, choice and better options to live
I wouldn’t move to any parts of Texas
Especially the politically climate down there and the gerrymandering they trying to pull off
I moved to another red state but I’m in the country
Life has been better ten fold since I left Texas but I’m![]()
.... The best decision I ever made was moving from my hometown of LA to Atlanta. I had a vision of what I wanted out of life and was relentless in attaining it. Was it easy? Within my first two years my then wife left me, I had a mountain of credit card debt and had to work two jobs plus odd jobs to make ends meet. Had many times where I wanted to give up, but I’m glad I didn’t. My career eventually flourished; I landed my first 6 figure gig this year and I bought my first home two years ago. And I got married again this year.
I respect anyone that moves to a new place for a better opportunity. A lot of people are too scared to even try.

Posters have told him
- They are laying off people like crazy
- In the service industry there are 50-100 people on the extra board on call and work like once every 2 weeks
- Some had to wait 9 months to find employment
He still isn't listening![]()

Those are the main things that stay hitting newcomers upside their heads, despite the fact that we told them what's gonna happened if they move to Houston. Hell, those born and raise want out of not only the city, but the state too.I wouldn’t move to Texas period

That drive is brutal. Unless you're a fan wide open desert and slow moving traffic, I would take Southwest or AA and meet them in L.A.My friend wants a girls trip to Vegas next fall and then drive to LA....
Idk. Seems like a lot.
Id rather just fly to la and skip vegas.
