This whole post is all over the place. Look up social democracy before you do anymore posting. Not only do you not have a good grasp of the situation, you're misusing terms again.
It's clear you don't understand how socialism works or what socialism is. Coops are socialist. Think about that.
Yes, I said the article agrees with you. But that same article clearly points out the mismanagement of the government and the fact that the government overly depended on oil. It wasn't simply, they became socialist so everything went to hell. By that same logic (also in the article), democracy is a failure too. Because in Venezuela, when it was a dictatorship everything was good. Then it became a democracy and everything went to shyt.
Also, Bolivia is a socialist country and is doing quite well. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Greenland are social democracies and are doing quite well. And yes, social democracies are in fact a transition to socialism.
1. YOu said we are saying the same thing (capitalism with social programs = social democracy). If you see my post, I edited and said if you're using this term as such then I agree.
2. you said i do not have a good grasp of the situation. I'm more versed in economies and venezuela than you period. You have to google research to keep up and find articles that support what I'm saying. I'm also theone who stated Nordic capitalism is not socialism. The confusion is based on the fact AOC and Bernie or Democratic Socialists, not social democrats and you guys have been misusing the terms previously.
3. No, it was atually quite simply they became socialist and it went to hell. There were tenents of a democratic society in VZ before socialism and they did not go to hell. You have no idea what you're talking about with regards with VZ, so instead of making stuff up and trying to connect puzzle pieces you should leave it to the article you quote which specifically does NOT state or support anything you're saying.

you just did the same damn thing, Social democracies are not a transition to socialism...that's Democratic Socialism which is what AOC and Bernie are promoting. Two different things.
Bolivia is not a socialist country - the fukk are you talking about. You are regurgitating headlines and again have no idea wtf you're talking about. I'm going to say this, my companies for the past decade has had business in LATAM (not mexico and brazil, all of Latam). I worked banacassurance with several nations and we had a company in Bolivia, Guatemala, Panama, DR, MExico, Brazil, and Ecuador (missing another one). I can tell you Bolivia and Ecuador have high taxes and and large welfare/social programs but are no where near a socialist country. by any definition.
social democracies are capitalistic economies, (by your own definition) which was my point, stop bringing them up as they aren't anywhere near socialist.
Funny how you chastised me for misusing the terms and you turnaround and do it....you're all over the place,
get your thoughts together before you reply again.
