That's incorrect. Chavismo has millions of supporters mainly poor and lower class who made gains since the late 1990s. They are very active civically.
Maduro and his government are unpopular because they are incompetent managers and are feeding corruption.

On a related but unrelated note a tornado passed thru Havana and destroyed my old neighborhood, Luyano, Lawton and Reglas. These are historically Afrocuban neighborhoods and the government is using soldiers and secret police to steal humanitarian aid and sell it back to the people. I have video of crowds spitting at and throwing rocks at President Canel. Latin American socialism is on its dying legs and theyre getting desperate now. I pray for better days but Im tired of the false egalitarianism of these governments and I wouldnt mind a fukking smart bomb being dropped on some of these presidential palaces.
