Not from what I've seen, but I haven't looked into the Verizon plans in full detail yet.
The issue at hand isn't even really the installments, its the data offerings are terrible for the money, VZW and ATT are at a point where their customers pretty much only can use them because Sprint and TMo suck where they live, or they are older ppl who dont use much data and dont upgrade much so none of this really matters.

your not forced to turn anything in unless you lease a phone. Contract the "finance" price is baked into your plan, so you are paying for a discounted phone even if you never buy another phone again all because you thought you were juugin the system getting a phone for 200 on contract.
If u lease the phone you are forced into paying for it over and over
If u are on an installment u are paying more than what the phone is worth
If u get a discounted phone thru contract you are NOT even paying for the full price of 5he phone. If you are then u are an idiot to not know what your bill contains
That is why they are getting rid of discounted phones because the cell companies eat the cost.

Two yr contract plans cost more than "financing" plans, an iPhone isn't worth no damn 200 bucks, you pay 200 bucks and promise to stay for 2 yrs, the contracted plan cost more than a finance plan so even after 2 yrs you promised to stay your plan stays the same even if you dont get a phone. With a finance plan when you pay the phone off the plan drops in price. This stuff is basic math, so either you guys have never compared plans side by side or just are not good at math. IDK what else to tell you guys.
