This was all so long ago though. Half the Unit members have beef with each other currently. Banks just dropped a song like 2 months ago dissing 50. When's the last time that G-Unit rocked a show together? Their last time reuniting and releasing music clearly showed the chemistry was missing. If this was a Versuz during loickdown and it was just MP3s being played, then maybe G-Unit would have a chance. But in a live show format here in 2021?
:picard:
G-Unit would have no group cohesion or chemistry to handle The Lox. It would be a murder. :damn:
LOX chemistry is :wow: Prime Spurs

It’s two entirely different lanes. Missy isn’t a good rapper and doesn’t have hard shyt. She’s got R&B and club shyt on lock, but Work It isn’t gonna work (no pun intended) as a response to something like fukk You.

the only way jada has a shot in hell against missy is if he has that exact same crowd. and even then it probably won't matter. hard core, streets, simps, nerds, cool kids, rock kids, black, white... almost everyone fukks with missy. look at the artists in the industry who cite her as an inspiration.

she didn't have a couple mainstream hits. she was a mainstream star. assuming jada wins because he's playing the shyt you prefer is a mistake.

anyone who goes up against missy has to deal with...
  • the aaliyah tribute run (missy wrote a lot of those big records)
  • the "hits you love that you didn't know i wrote" run
  • the "hits i ghostwrote and didn't get credit for" run
  • the prime timberland production run
  • the a-list features on other people's hits run
  • the "9 top 10 hits, 33 top 200 hits you hear my voice on" run
  • the star studded collabos (hot boyz, all in my grill, one minute man, work it, ladies night, etc etc) run
  • the a1 live performance factor
and you talking about Fukk You?

:whoa:

like i said, leave missy alone. she is an opponent for a different type of artist. someone's gonna wake up that giant and get their feelings hurt.

In hindsight we should’ve seen it coming with this post. Breh was there for the bag and thought the “too cool for school” act would work and got fukking smoked. If this was a year ago and they were in a studio pressing play on songs it woulda been different…but last night was embarrassing :stopitslime:

Naw, we not gon do that. Cam was acting funny. Didn't perform with his crew and didn't even walk out with them. Love Cam but we not gonna be giving son a pass. He looked weak out there. He was standing in the back with the crowd most the show, even when Dips songs were on.
i'd be feeling like him if I had to stand next to a crack head too.

Juelz is like an auto L for his crew every time he come out in public now.

he might have been the youngest performer on that stage but was the most washed. he COULD NOT RAP FOR shyt. he was letting his verses play and doing ad libs to them. shyt was way embarrassing

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I like Dipset and I never thought about it this way, but I think you might be right.

Another way I thought about it is that Dipset kind of reminded me of a "New York's homegrown" version of other regional shyt that was hot around the same time. Like, down south and midwest had their scenes that were less lyrical and not as focused on bars, and Dipset to me always represented New York's first crew that was more dumbed down. I don't even say that as an insult either. Everyone in The Booth knows I'm not a listener that's here for bars and only bars.

But yeah. :jbhmm: I thought Dipset was kind of like NY's own version of less lyrical and more anthem based music that was trending in other parts of the country.

EDIT: And I also thought Cam dumbed down his bars a little bit with Dipset.
Cam dumbed down his flow. Not his lyrics. And as far as the anthem music. NOONE was doing it like Dipset. With all the 80s rock samples to soul samples n all that shyt. shyt was direct derivative of The Roc and Ye and Just Blaze. Heatmakerz blessed them. Ground Zero and 9/11 themed after the attack and while the city was rebuilding. All of that was original to them. They had beats that basically only they could rap over and make it sound right. Their whole movement style wise was like a throwback to the Dapper Dan custom shyt. They were completely original and no one gonna say a cat like Juelz wouldn’t have gotten a mic when groups like Group Home existed in the 90s. Juelz could actually rap before he dumbed his shyt down to be more chant and Anthem based. And to fit the beats as well. While Cam just slowed his flow a lil bit. Not to mention u had the affiliates who was all just dead nice like JR Writer, Hell Rell, 40 Cal, and Un Casa, who were all battlers before they even got hot. Jim extended and flipped around and got Max B and took Stack Bundles from Desert Storm. Lil Wayne was basically a Dipset affiliate. As well as TI. Their movement was legit and organic as it came from the streets as well. It just wasn’t traditional and was a creative approach to things. Make no mistake. The Lox are better, are a better rap collective, better performers, more longevity etc etc. but it’s no reason to downplay what Dipset brought to the game. Dips just got washed last night. Let’s leave it at that.

red/meth vs lox would be sick...especially since both parties care and would show out.

shyt we could get the entire wu to cameo like we almost did during red/meth's verzuz.

then maybe some RR cameos for the lox side

That would be :wow:

Red and Meth vs Jada and SP the Ghost in a 2 vs. 2 battle.
