At zero point in Jim's MCing life will he ever have mic spit on par with the Lox....not even Sheek.
Sheek is underrated

Group Home has an entire album produced by Premo and it was fire. Juelz is a better rapper than both them nikkas. LolThe difference between 93-98 compared to 2003-06 was like a totally different genre. Back in the 90s, like you said, if you couldn't spit high quality bars and had a whole album of high quality songs ready to be produced, you never stepped into a studio. LOX was in that era when Wu Tang amd Mobb Deep and Onyx and MOP dropping crazy heat.
NYC post 2002 was damn near a playground, music wise.
and they got plenty moreMan....I'm skimming through this again.
It's insanely impressive that Juelz said they had no girlie joints, and the DJ immediately was able to play 6 instrumentals in a row, and Jada, SP, and Sheek were able to rhyme on all of them without missing a beat.

This is facts.Jada didn't even play Best of Me and the Mariah joint from Kiss of Death
Ronnie on Star Show mentioned that

The fukk?? How I miss this[/QUOTE
At the end of the day, the hood has always and will always fukk with The Lox. Like the shyt Ghost be spitting, nikkas be feeling that shyt in their bones. shyt is visceral. G unit and Dip Set never had it like that. I ain’t not even street and I feel like going upside someone’s head when I hear The Lox.
It was big by way of Ebro and other radio personalities, not by what niqqas in the street wanted.
All that shyt was New York fell off rap but was radio relevant.

Dipset was huge in every borough. Like I said. Street nikkas, square nikkas, all that. It was a different era. Dipset wasn’t bounce music until well into the mid 00s. In the beginning it was all Soul Samples and 80s Rock Samples. It was DIFFERENT. But it was still rooted in the streets. I fukked wit D Block MORE then but I’m not being delusional and acting like my opinion on shyt is what it was. Dipset’s movement was rooted in the streets. Derivative from The Roc. They got hot off mixtapes. And an original sound and style. But it was VERY NYC themed and style wise. It just wasn’t GUTTER. U can relate it more to the 80s than the 90s. But the shyt was still street tho.Nycrebel is correct.
Gunit and dipset are in that era NYC music became "acceptable" to other regions. Especially gunit. Lowkey...50 cent blew easier because.....yall going trip, and it also went for DMX....but they sneak had SOUTHERN sound.
The second I quoted even has a clue: blood nikkas. By the time that element was in NY...NY was over.
No more heavy on the NY accent. Made Cam say "when da fukk we start bouncin".
Cam don’t like them nikkas really(aside from Jim) and he’s soured on Dipset after they betrayed him. But yea. U right. nikka didn’t hold it down.
Yup.Cam treat all them nikkas like shyt especially Un Kasa, 40 Cal, Hell Rell, JR Writer he looks at them like associates
I don't know if I ever thought I heard X with much of a southern influence to his sound, but I agree with everything else for sure.Nycrebel is correct.

premmo said that was his hardest job ever as a producer. Malachi the Nutcracker is still the worst MC ive ever heard.![]()

Mad underrated. He was originally slated to be the star of The Lox from what I understand, and then moved into running the business end of things. I think I read he's the only member that owns his own publishing.Sheek is underrated
But that’s my whole point though, if the battle is on some real hip hop shyt, Aaliyah songs and R&B records you wrote for other artists are going to be irrelevant.the only way jada has a shot in hell against missy is if he has that exact same crowd. and even then it probably won't matter. hard core, streets, simps, nerds, cool kids, rock kids, black, white... almost everyone fukks with missy. look at the artists in the industry who cite her as an inspiration.
she didn't have a couple mainstream hits. she was a mainstream star. assuming jada wins because he's playing the shyt you prefer is a mistake.
anyone who goes up against missy has to deal with...
and you talking about Fukk You?
- the aaliyah tribute run (missy wrote a lot of those big records)
- the "hits you love that you didn't know i wrote" run
- the "hits i ghostwrote and didn't get credit for" run
- the prime timberland production run
- the a-list features on other people's hits run
- the "9 top 10 hits, 33 top 200 hits you hear my voice on" run
- the star studded collabos (hot boyz, all in my grill, one minute man, work it, ladies night, etc etc) run
- the a1 live performance factor
like i said, leave missy alone. she is an opponent for a different type of artist. someone's gonna wake up that giant and get their feelings hurt.
