Lox were smart they never played their track straight away. Jada would give a little speech before. Built anticipation.

the dipset DJ was playing the next beat as soon as Lox finished theirs. They didn’t build the hype. They play 3 seconds there would then be some back and forth arguing then they’d play the beat again. Lost all the momentum. Jada set up every song perfectly rather then just racing into it

edit: haha just saw the post about Tech above. Salute to him. He quickly got those ladies tracks and dropped and sequenced them perfectly

Bro you talking about hype and anticipation? After Juelz mentioned them not liking girls, DJ must've dropped 5-6 perfectly timed uber popular songs for the ladies (that Mariah joint, MJB joint, Knock Yaself Out... all hits). Idk why Juelz would even say what he said. A lot of the rappers back then felt like they had to have a track or two for the ladies to complete the album.
