Man this guy never had that one hit record to put him over the top but dude is really gifted. I wonder if he'd be bigger if he came out now.
A Chicago classic, not heard too many djs outside the Chi and London play this.
A record that was released in 75/6 , a year later Bobbi Humphrey covered it. But the song never did anything in the States. Minor hit in Japan. Then in the mid 80's becomes one of the most coveted songs on the London Rare Groove scene. Then in the 93 this song gets sampled on one of the biggest Jungle/D&B tunes ever.
One of the hardest and most expensive songs to get your hands. I've given hope trying to find this song at a decent price. Just hope one day I just stumble on it at a yard sale, thrift store, or in a library book store
Massive Attack!
Is this the sample for Max B All in 1 night?
Here's another overlooked joint. Only overlooked 'cause of his major hits.......
I know this is Mary. But this is the definition of a low key hit. A song that unless you were there when it got released, you have probably never heard it or will ever hear it.
I'll never forget "discovering" this record, breh.
I must've played it like 25 times in a row.
That's when I knew I was officially approachingstatus.

Miami classic
This was a well known classic to anybody born in the 70s or earlier, but probably relatively unknown to younger heads

)
