nelly didnt serve KRS ... it was more shocking he came back and responded
people still listen to the KRS song, not so much the flash in the pan Nelly shyt

their shyt was more like bickering than an actual battle
I dont personally think Drake got the best of Common either .. Common came at his neck directly, Drake lied and said see me in the physical but Drake aint seeing nobody in the physical and is still taking amateur boxing lessons in 2021-2022

the best part about this thread is people saying shyt like
"alot of yall under-estimate"
or
"whens the last time you"

but then its 90% all older heads well versed in hiphop :russ: like nikka yeah, we be knowing shyt and listening. You think people are gonna be in a KRS thread and not know KRS? :krs:

:what:

This is Verzus, Verzus attracts certain demographics of the artist that's they got competing, this Verzus is going to have the 40--55 crowd of hip hop head's who still know how to work Facebook, Twitter and Verzus and who only comes out for special events. Generation X we are the last great generation, We Coming Out just like we came out for The Isley's, Babyface, Rza Verzus

KRS and Kane still get play on the oldies stations. Kool G Rap might as well not exist anymore. That’s what you missing here, every artist you mentioned except Kool G Rap still has a mainstream presence. His audience in no way; shape, or form can be compared to Babyface or the Isleys. It’s 10 year olds out here singing Isley brothers songs bruh.

KRS should win, he has more joints and his career had more legs...but judging off that Ja and Fat Joe jawn, when Kane is up there doin the smurf and the running man and turns the shyt into a party, I think that's gonna secure him the crowd/viewers. Kane probably on the treadmill right now gettin ready.

What radio? FM? I know on SiriusXM and other satellite radio Kane, G Rap and Krs gets play, hip hop heads and old heads like me who's 44 don't listen to the radio unless it College Radio Hip Hop Underground, old school soul/neo soul or 90's hip hop/r&b station other than that when we want that hip hop shyt that plays G rap we listen to satellite radio

I hear Kane and KRS on the old school hip hop channels in most cities i travel to, in addition to Rock The Bells on Sirius. KRS actually does get play on the other hip hop stations as well, just heard Step Into A World yesterday on Shade 45.

Maybe im missing it but i dont hear Kool at all.

I try to go back and listen to rappers/groups before my time, I can’t get into KRS. I know the impact, see the appeal for that time, but his music doesn’t connect with me at all outside of a few of his hits

imma let Gen x go ahead and enjoy this one
