bone albums after they fell off in your opinion, are better than 3-6 mafia's best albums.

this is what i was talking about when i was referring to levels, and how rappers are graded on a different scale.

once you reach the absolute top, theres nowhere else to go but down. meanwhile, a group like 3-6 mafia doesnt have any expectations to live up too. they made trash music at the peak of their careers, accompanying awful album with a couple big hits. they also didnt sell as much at their peak as bone did when they were supposedly washed.

just look at people bragging about juicy j being relevant, despite the fact that all of his albums flopped.

just because theyre ARGUABLY the most influential group over whats going on RIGHT NOW, it doesnt mean that theyre the most influential group over the course of 50 years of hip-hop!!!!!

i could easily name 10 groups that are more influential than 3-6 mafia.....bone thugs is one of them.

yall gotta stop repeating that nonsense man. its crazy.:mindblown:

No you can't, Three Six has influenced 3 decades of rap, all their production techniques have been copied and adopted as standards for the pass twenty years

you can't be serious, Three Six and Mafia had beef over them stealing their style, that's how the beef started

Three Six Mafia was on horror core shyt before bone, Infamous was doing the Migos flow, not bone

Three Six mafia invented Crunk Music and Trap music, yet you say Bone is more influential, you sound fukking stupid

Bone make better music than Three Six but even that could be argued because Three Six was pure underground with a cult following, and they sound took over the entire genre

:whoo: Bone might have to do their entire E1999 album. :mjlol: I love them but 3-6 mafia should wash them on paper. Once DJ Paul and Juicy go into their production creds it should be a wrap.

edit: one thing that will help bone is they have songs with Biggie and Pac.

Bone better not come on lip syncing...... please don't do this. Bizzy has shown he's the only one that can really put it down consistently without a back track so I hope he convinces them to go straight live.. Im a big bone fan but vs is gonna get them alot of eyes that probably never payed attention to them and I don't want them to give a weak first impression.

Also with Lord infamous and Koop being dead.... the moment us fans have been waiting for all our lives may not live up to the hype :francis:
Bizzy is the battery of Bone and will provide the energy, he's still the most lovable member/fan favorite so if they're smart they'll let him and Krayzie take the reigns during Verzuz

I’ve never even heard of some of these songs. They are going to get demolished if this is their 20.
Even if YOU never heard of them, doesn't mean others haven't. But like I said earlier, our generation is not gonna decide who the winner is..Generation Z will.

Are there any winners in verzuz? Like how is winning calculated?
Nah, according to Swiss there are no "real" winners, but the audience will generally decide who they think 'won'. In the end, we get to see a 'once in a lifetime' dream performance for free, and the artists get paid. Nobody really loses per se.

Surprised that Bone is winning.

Triple 6 got way more replay value for me. I still check for their new shyt, like that Isaiah remix.

Bone are cool but 3 6 all day for me.

Yeah. No doubt 36 fans know all those songs. But do they have 20 that cut across to everybody? I’m not sure they do. Let alone a strong 20. Maybe I’m an outlier on all this though. We will see.

Yea but I don’t think it’s fair to compare their popularity (at that time). Bone got signed to Eazy-E that’s a big ass cosign behind them. Three 6 didn’t even sign an actual deal outside of distribution until like 97. Plus outside of Outkast who else in the south would be able to say they were above B or C level artists popularity wise at that time. Until No Limit/Cash Money I can only think of Geto Boys off bat. UGK are legends but they never sold that much either. Idk what to say seems like the south only really got love in the south until No Limit came thru tbh

theres alot of revisionist history in this post.

eazy-e was NOT a big ass co-sign when bone hit the scene. bone thugs saved ruthless records. the industry was trying to phase eazy/ruthless out the game like they ended up doing to murder inc. then when eazy died, the industry basically shoved his death under the rug. nobody big was even shouting eazy out outside of bone, except master p & them for a lil bit.

and it didnt help that ruthless couldnt break any new acts. theres a long line of failed artists that ruthless put out before bone got there. bone ended up being the biggest draw jn ruthless history. yes even more of a draw than NWA.

not to mention, they had the majority of their success after eazy died. people who were around, dont even associate them with ruthless as much as we associate bone with their own mo thugs movement. bone being as humble as they are, rep eazy to the death but they really dont have to go as hard as they do. most other rappers definitely wouldnt rep eazy that hard if they were in bone's shoes/scenario.

as for the south stuff. 3-6 mafia was C-level. outkast was B-level. no limit soldiers were already A-level before 3-6 mafia dropped their major label debut.
and most of 3-6 mafia's buzz was off the back of bone thugs - which you didnt even mention. same way crucial conflict, do or die & twista all benefted - and all those acts were bigger than 3-6 mafia in the '90s, btw. the only successful double-time rappers that had their own wave, not synonymous with bone were mystikal & silkk the shocker.

this why i don’t understand all these nikkaz on here, saying it should’ve been Bne vs Wu :mindblown:

they were the two biggest rap groups of the '90s, their career arcs mirrored each other at the same dam time, they had real beef and they were the great debate when it came to rap groups in the same vein as pac/big and later jay/nas.......and as far as rap forums go, i would say that the stan beefs on forums for wu/bone was arguably bigger than that of pac/big.

and bone has more in common with wutang than they do with 3-6 mafia; especially when it comes down to 3-6' playlist on verzus. that chit is gonna be the epitomy of apples versus oranges.

people just dont want the east coast to risk getting washed, especially wutang who aint even battling east coast rapper. just low-viewed battles against themselves.

Couldn't tell you what the bolded songs sound like without going back on YouTube and listening to them again. I'm sure I've heard them at some point, but :manny:

you lying.

even the most biased east coast rap heads know "everyday thang" and "shoot em up".

i would ask your age, but you were definitely around for "i tried", which was a smash hit. and you claim you dont know that either.:heh:

Bizzy gonna be there? :whoo:

U Ain't Bone to start this shyt off RIGHT. :jawalrus:

I'm sending a message to warn you imposters
All hating in my business
When I see you I'm a drop you
Get slugged and get drugged
My nikkas I'll hustle to pay the judge
Got you when I spot you I should pop you
Even the boss was telling me not to
But I won't stop until they get shot
When they get out the hospital
They gonna get shot, too :demonic:

CLASSIC.

and layzie's verses were even better.

heres the thing tho, i dont trust bone to play this. i dont trust their playlist at all.

thats the one opening i see for 3-6 mafia. 3-6 is more in touch with what the people want.
