That was never my point. All four of them served a purpose. You had Juvenile and B.G. at the forefront with Turk and Wayne as supporting members during the initial run. Nobody looked at them and thought any of them were a weak link. That was my initial point. Nobody was listening to them and were like "why is he even in the group?". The revision is people acting like the Hot Boys had a Pras. They didn't.

Not just taking sides cuz @dora_da_destroyer my homey and my sis

But she right my guy….

Turk was the weakest in the group.

in they height…. Let’s say 98-01 era

No one was checking for Turk like that my guy. I don’t even recall in my area them playing his songs on the radio like that…. Yet alone the clubs…..

And I went to the top HBCU in the country

no one was on the yard blasting Turk

Only thing I don't like about these verzuz is they mainly focus on singles when both labels got songs that aren't singles that are :whew:

It's reminding me of Dipset vs LOX.

Just about all of us knew LOX were gonna win, so if I were Dipset, I would've performed songs like "I'm Ready" and "The First", regardless

No Limit better not do that "Tight Whips" song just because it was a single. It was a wack single

And it isn't about who was checking for who. The point is, we weren't listening to CMR or the Hot Boys album and saying Turk was the weakest link. Remove Turk from "We On Fire" or any of the Hot Boys songs. He's not some tacked on member that was just there in all of those songs. There was chemistry in the group and it doesn't really work if you take someone out the group. He would've been missed. He wasn't the star of the group. What I'm twlling you is that there were no weak links and the revision is saying that Turk is the weakest link.

And I already said his album dropped after CMR had pretty much fizzled out outside of Big Tymers.

meh…. I hear you….. okay maybe we should frame it like this…. Turk was the “Pras” of the group

When a Hot Boys song dropped… maybe you quoting Juvie and BG

but when that Turk verse dropped….. niccas smoking they weeks and taking sips of that goose

You know how clubs played some but played like maybe a verse or 2 then blend to the next song?

The Turk verse rarely was played in the clubs

It is what it is my guy

No. The Hot Boys didn't have a Pras because Hot Boys was never that type of group, which is why I even brought this up to begin with.

And that is one of the problems with The Booth as a whole: hyperbole. Hot Boys were worked because of the chemistry of the four members.

Comparing Wayne and Turk in ‘98 is laughable. Everyone in school was going around rapping Wayne’s verse on Millionaire Dream.

No one is going around spitting a Turk verse.

And the nerve to say Silkk is some revisionist shyt when his style change was noticable in real time. Silkk was cool during the Richmond days, but once Mystikal came to the tank, he started emulating his style and fell off horribly. Silkk is to blame for people’s perception of him.
