Master P helped Snoop Dogg move from Death Row Records to his own No Limit Records by negotiating a buyout for Snoop's contract with Suge Knight. Master P paid a reported $3 million to free Snoop, who then signed a three-album deal with No Limit. Master P also gave Snoop money, a house, and two cars to help him get back on his feet, as his previous assets were under Suge Knight's name.
he gave a snoop a bag be4 snoop even left death row.. snow was thinking he was gettin something else and p paid a entirely different amount..

then when he came over.. he had snoop redo his publishing and dropped the doggy from his ... suge thought they get over on the loophole which was finna get paid off snoop thru the publishin and with snoop keepin doggy on his name ...

but them country nikkas smart the last 2 times u saw snoop doggy dogg on a album was on Unpredictable and charge it to the game.. snoop dogg era started with his solo

P lost the No Limit catalogue?? That legit makes me sad.
There's a lot of Dame Dash in P, with the randomness of some his business dealings, but he should've been able to eat off that catalogue forever, or at least get paid handsomely for selling it.

Yep. He ran No Limit like a ponzi scheme and that’s why he had to make “New No Limit” because he owed millions from advances and the records weren’t actually selling.

Again, go look at the No Limit albums that are on streaming and look at who the distributor is.
For example:

Mac “Shell Shocked” = 1998©️ Miko Media LLC, Distributed by RapBay/Urbanlife Distribution

Many of them have only been put on streaming in the last year or 2 via these types of small distributors.

I always felt cash money was wack compared to no limit.

CM got really popular at one point but i never was really into their stuff, i thought nikkas was trippin back then for saying CM was better.

Last night solidified that i was always right

CM made fun and easily digestible music. NL was hard beats and rhymes :ehh:

I thought theyd embrace at least for the public. Baby energy seemed negative as fukk lmfao P just seemed like a b ball coach like we finna crush these nikkas and i dont wanna chit chat

Gotta remember it’s a whole lotta flaw stuff P has done over the years towards Cash Money (like falsely saying him and Baby were doing something together to make himself look good) and the fact people like to not give Baby (and Slim) their credit despite they still own their label, unlike P.

Nevermind the street stuff.

The artists were largely cool with each other (Mac was rapping Cash Money Is An Army with BG last nigbt), but one thing about Baby is if he don’t mess with ya, he aint gonna ever fake it:russ:. You just go ya separate ways

I just feel it said a lot P could get the whole No Limit there while Cash Money look like they just randomly showed up, with Wayme even doing an after party and not there

Another thing is Cash Money’s classic songs are still getting play and even going viral in the last year

This was the first time many of those No Limit songs were publicly heard in literal decades.m

CMR songs still in regular rotation at every Black club and HBCU so you just heard em last week😂

Stop playing...any city..any block? Master P records in the 2020s? No chance you would hear that....you might hear 98 Degrees in the open before ever possibly hearing No Limit by any stretch of the imagination.

I think y'all in here trolling, man:laugh: You would hear Lil Troy Wanna be a Baller by accident over No Limit. Its like it never existed.
i know in texas ... u will heard ghetto dope.. charge it to the game... fiend ...down south hustlers... playin nikkas trunks til this day.... them ol;d school slab heads.. be hurting boys with ol no limit...and cash money....
