To me, catalog and stage performance are two different conversations and catalog can get washed with performance. Like if MJB went up against Beyoncé, she’s gonna lose because Beyonce is a great performer whereas MJB has better music (IMO). Just going track for track evens the playing field

MJB has great stage presence/is a great performer now, she's come a long way .

I agree with what you're saying though, just not in regard to that matchup.
