And when was the last time games outside maybe Stellar Blade and a couple of sections in GOW
Where QuickTime events run rampant like the 90s-early 00s:skip:
Some these are ridiculous and I’m not even trying to be a contrarian c*nt rag :skip:
A lot of this stuff has been baked into games for decades
I’m expecting micro transactions as being the number one
Or the amount of shooters and Elden Ring ripoffs that abuse the stamina feature

I got to manage 20 stats and 10 item/weapon slots? Classes? I'm trying to play a game, not work on an excel sheet. And then it locks you out of a lot of the content if you have the wrong stats. Leave me alone.
It's crazy, I was fine doing this for all the soul games and Eden ring. Then I recently bought Armored Core. I played the first few missions and I started digging into the stats and builds, I was over it and never picked it back up. It felt like too much.

Frame data in fighting games. I like to eyeball the shyt rather than turning fighting into basic math and hate that it turns every player literally into a "By the numbers" ass nikka.

I wish it was hidden more like it used to be and tbh that the frames were actually more variable to an extent in the first place.

Both things can be true. You probably think otherwise, but I do that purely off reads and instincts rather than number checking the frames all day like most ya'll nikkas do. Plus that's more about spacing anyways. Add also that what I'm asking for only makes frame trapping that much more critical on both ends, if the numbers game isn't readily apparent and accessible.

Oh that reminds me of another complaint. I hate how lazy they are with the difficulty leveling. They literally just make the enemies deal more damage and absorb more damage most of the time and thats it.
I wish higher difficulty just meant the enemies were smarter and more skilled rather than just progressively more bullet spongey.

hard mode should mean that the enemy is better at evading my attacks, and better at finding openings in my defense. Not just a larger health bar and more damage per hit. Think about when you play an online fighting game. The best players are not kicking ass because they got stronger characters than everybody else. They just way more skilled.
God of war takes this shyt to the extreme.

Ruins the immersion. I hated as spiderman i can lift a car and fight the rhino but it takes a 5 hit combo to knock out a random bank robber.
But i just told myself he was deliberately pulling his punches. Don't think he would pull them that much, in the comics he is perfectly capable of one shotting a normal person.

Any kind of motion controls. I just worked a double shift. I'm not tryna wiggle my controller for shyt. Imagine your girl walks in and sees you shaking your controller like a shake weight. :dame:
