And what has he done lately? Exactly. Spare me his resume again . I follow his stats too :shaq2:

What do you mean "lately"? From 2008-2014 season is 7 seasons....and Kobe led his team to 3 NBA Finals and 2 rings over the last 7 full seasons:dahell:

Only other person to take their team to more Finals in that time period is LeBron:what:

Kobe earned the money he's making:ufdup:

*looks at last 5 complete seasons and sees Kobe's led his team to a Championship in the last 5 seasons as well*

:wow:

You need to take your glasses off and see what I mean by LATELY.

You keep thumping the past stat sheets but tell me what exactly has he done since 2010 to earn what he's owed for 2015-16? Why can't he restructure his contract so Mitch can sign better talent? Why can't he find a suitor to pass the torch to when his career is finally over?

Even as a Stan, you gotta ask yourself this.

I don't think you can restructure contract in the NBA, and I think he is doing that with Randle. Dwight was a clown who has been out most of the time this season, I am thankful we didn't sign him long term.

What is LATELY?:mindblown:

You're just gonna keep giving an undescribed time of lately, but fail to see Kobe was given a contract from what he did PRIOR to 2015...so why would he restructure for money he ALREADY EARNED?:dahell:

The facts are, Kobe had a 3 year contract for 83.5 million from 2012-2014...and then signed a 2 year extension for 48.5 million in November 2013 for the 2015 & 2016 season.

In order to earn that, Kobe over his LAST deal (2012 & 2013 seasons because he was injured all but 6 games in the 2014 season and didnt play again until AFTER he signed the new contract) averaged 27.6 pts, 5.5 rebs, 5.4 assts, 1.3 stls, and shot 44.8% FG in 38.6 minutes per game going to 2 NBA All-Star Games, being 2x All-NBA 1st Team, 1x All-Defensive 2nd Team, and finished 4th in 2012 and 5th in 2013 in MVP voting:ufdup:

Kobe was ALSO eligible to make $32 million per year, but instead DIDNT demand or request the full amount he could've taken of 2 years $64 million...giving back 8 million per or $16 million over 2 years:sas1:

The Lakers did not release terms of the new agreement but, according to a source familiar with the situation, Bryant will make between $40 million and $50 million for the two years.

Bryant was eligible for an extension starting at $32 million.
