Im a c00n for acknowledging we got way too many stupid people in our race?
Truth hurts.
We not only have black people making white people rich. We have people supporting black people who make white people rich. Talking about "doing it for the culture".

What's telling is that they did a whole 40 minute radio interview and none of the kids got a word in cause Lavar talked the whole time. And that's the problem. It's the lavar ball show. It's all about Lavar. He always puts himself front and center and wont let his kids shine on their own. Even when what's best for Lavar might not be whats best for them. Peep what Melo says at 18:45 when Charlamane asked if he ever ask Lavar to tone it down.. Melo said no cause it's pointless and he aint gonna listen. That's pretty much all you need to hear right there. I hope it works out for them though.
He let them talk, but they're kids, they don't have anything substantial to say at this point in their lives. They aren't street kids, so they aren't going to brag or sell wolf tickets about how rough their life has been.

A 18-19 y.o. doesn't need to shine like that. He's doing what a father is supposed to do. He takes all the criticism on his shoulders. He knows that everybody wants to use his kids for their own gain, and for free at that. He set his kids up in a way that they don't have to worry about money. Put it to you like this, a father who lets his teenage kids do whatever they want, is usually bailing them out of jail, multiple times.

You are not making any sense.
He just bailed Gelo out of a Chinese jail. And you say they don't need to shine when Lavar is the one constantly putting them in the media scrutiny with his actions. All lavar has been doing is shining a bigger spotlight on his kids for better or worse. The problem is its coming from his mouth and not theirs. They gotta live with the consequences of his actions and big mouth.

Lavar would probably be happy as long as they got celeb status, money, and big baller brand while playing in Lithuania even at the expense of their NBA dreams. But I'm pretty sure Melo would rather just make the NBA if he had to choose.

You make a good point concerning the China situation, I think that was that boy being out of father's reach and got caught up, so I agree with you, But I will tell you this, how many more times you think that's going to happen? And in terms of shining, I don't think a teenager should try to create their own shine like that, especially when they have a father in their lives. He's putting a spotlight on his kids in order to promote his brand, these tv shows and talk shows weren't obligated to give him any air time. In terms of consequences, if you're in the NBA playing for the Lakers, driving around in a Ferrari or 16 and about to make more money than any kid your age, I can't call that an L by any means. Current society isn't used to seeing an outspoken Black father who isn't committing crime or something illegal. This man is using his mouthpiece and getting everyone else to buy in. Positive or negative, he's accomplished his goal.

Cause they hate themselves, and people try to hold them to some sort of standard when all they've ever wanted to do was do their own thing. I respect the fukk out of Lavar Ball.
You don't have to hate yourself to disagree with someone else's opinions or actions :what:

I don't think people even hate LaVar. He's loud and confident so he's going to push people to the far ends but we all know people who are just like him. There's nothing to hate. You can think he's entertaining, an idiot, or both.

The thing is, LaVar accepts that a lot of people think he's full of shyt and it doesn't seem to bother him. He's loving the fukk out of the attention.

My issue isn't with LaVar at all, even if I don't agree with his media whoring or having kids drop out of school, that's his business. The annoying part are the fakkit stans who claim he's a revolutionary and laying down a blueprint when so far, the only measurable success has been Lonzo taking the traditional route and getting drafted 2nd overall.

Saying that everyone can have a loud dad, make a shoe company, drop out of hs, etc is like telling every Asian guy they can drop everything and sing Ricky Martin songs on TV.

Everywhere...You never there.
"I tell her [tina] how to raise them" :birdman:

Kinda fukked up to say, but especially over a radio broadcast. He does really often come across as a dictator ... of the entire family, including the extended family.

How did 'Var get his bread again? What industry is/was he in?
