You make a good point concerning the China situation, I think that was that boy being out of father's reach and got caught up, so I agree with you, But I will tell you this, how many more times you think that's going to happen? And in terms of shining, I don't think a teenager should try to create their own shine like that, especially when they have a father in their lives. He's putting a spotlight on his kids in order to promote his brand, these tv shows and talk shows weren't obligated to give him any air time. In terms of consequences, if you're in the NBA playing for the Lakers, driving around in a Ferrari or 16 and about to make more money than any kid your age, I can't call that an L by any means. Current society isn't used to seeing an outspoken Black father who isn't committing crime or something illegal. This man is using his mouthpiece and getting everyone else to buy in. Positive or negative, he's accomplished his goal.

People already bought in. He should have stopped while he was ahead and not turn them into a circus. Lonzo made it to the Lakers.. so why is he still taking shine from Lonzo? Why is he out here talking about Lakers coaching staff to the point where they had to pull him aside and tell him to chill out the other week? How is that helping Lonzo at all at this point?

How did Lavars back and forth with Trump help Gelo? Im sure Gelo wanted that whole embarrassing event out of the headlines but Lavar kept that nonsense in the news cycle way longer than it should have been. Sure it was great publicity for Lavar and baller brand but it made Gelo look worse by dragging it out in the media.. Folks even on this site were calling him a snitch cause he kept having to talk about it rather than letting it go away quickly.

Personally I think the reality TV show episodes when they go to Lithuania will be hilarious must see TV. BUT.. whats best for lavar ball and his brand is not always whats best for the kids If their goal is to actually make the NBA. In that regard it is universally being panned as a bad move.

You don't have to hate yourself to disagree with someone else's opinions or actions :what:

I don't think people even hate LaVar. He's loud and confident so he's going to push people to the far ends but we all know people who are just like him. There's nothing to hate. You can think he's entertaining, an idiot, or both.

The thing is, LaVar accepts that a lot of people think he's full of shyt and it doesn't seem to bother him. He's loving the fukk out of the attention.

My issue isn't with LaVar at all, even if I don't agree with his media whoring or having kids drop out of school, that's his business. The annoying part are the fakkit stans who claim he's a revolutionary and laying down a blueprint when so far, the only measurable success has been Lonzo taking the traditional route and getting drafted 2nd overall.

Saying that everyone can have a loud dad, make a shoe company, drop out of hs, etc is like telling every Asian guy they can drop everything and sing Ricky Martin songs on TV.
I get people can disagree, my point was moreso about cats going farther than just disagreeing, talking about he should do this like this and do that like that, and just let them do them. I gone past the point of trying to understand everything LaVar does, hell at first I didn't agree with him taking LaMelo and LiAngelo out of school but then it's like why even try to understand from my point of view or hold them to some standard that he/they don't want to be held to. At the end of the day them cats just wanna play ball.:manny:

It has yet to be seen if LaVar is a revolutionary cause only time will tell. Yeah, not everybody built to do what LaVar and them do but I don't think it's crazy to say that kids growing up watching what he's doing from afar won't look at that and tweak whatever to their liking for their own careers..

True but the younger kids gotta get their shine on the actual court in games more sooner than later or the buzz is gonna die out quick. That's why in this situation using the D1- NCAA route is best for the Ball family and BBB. What happens in America basketball wise blows up worldwide not the other way around. Its cool when a Brandon Jennings bucks the system and takes a different route but for BBB that American push would've been:wow: Lavar desperately needs more chess moves in his arsenal than checkers. LaMelo at UCLA or any big D1 program would've been a boon for BBB. Lavar deaded the whole entire momentum right when it was about to get good for them:why:

Dope ass Interview. You tell can Charlemagne respect the movement was there to learn. This interview did not go how i thought it would. He dropped maddd gems/sublims lowkey. Shyt if I’m Zion Williamson or somebody.. I’m looking at the Ball operation... tweak it a lil bit.. come out with ZION Brand

I don't know Zion's family or situation, but you need a strong team of independent thinkers to pull that off.

"I tell her [tina] how to raise them" :birdman:

Kinda fukked up to say, but especially over a radio broadcast. He does really often come across as a dictator ... of the entire family, including the extended family.

How did 'Var get his bread again? What industry is/was he in?

Umm he's the man of the household, maybe you didn't have a father worth a damn growing up but that is how the family structure is supposed to be. How would his wife a white woman at that be able to identify with the hurdles her boys will encounter.

Yall are tripping over yourselves trying to find something to hate and it is telling.

I agree. The Ball family is unique because everybody’s trashes Lavar but it’s his brother who is the business and forms the relationships. Lavar just a mouthpiece and a damn good one. I get you. But shyt I’d reach out to somebody like Steve Stoute ..it can be done

Var said he tells (has told) the immediate family's matriarch, the primary attachment figure and primary caregiver of ALL of the Ball sons for at least their formative years, how to raise them...

that's highly doubtful and some fukked up shyt to say about your wife whose duty was/is to help raise the children. How do you tell a national audience that essentially your wife is incapable of raising your sons? :mindblown:

And equal sharing of childraising is the best route according to experts.

You're sounding ignorant.
