I'll address the rest of your post later tonight, but think about what you just said here….

They asked if the illegal activity, HE RAPS ABOUT, are real. And you say it's dumb cause it was LIVE on the radio? But he raps about. But it's dumb when he talks about it on radio. But he raps about.

Like I said in my post, its short sided to see it as him snitching on himself. It's obvious the question is to build depth about him as a person. Let him talk about the social ills of chicago. Let him articulate about the social construct which is the ghetto and the pitfalls of it. The question allows him to express his views on life and how kids in his situation can make it through.

But no…y'all don't see that at all. And that's why, artist never DEVELOP. That's why mainstream hip hop lacks SUBSTANCE. That's why there are no LEADERS and VISIONARIES. Because when questions like this come up, all muhfukkas jump to is "yo I'm not telling on myself." When the real way to answer the question is to show progression towards positivity and uplift.

Cmon fam. They straight up asked him if he really does the shyt in his music. What kind of incriminating shyt is that? RosenNerd was sounding like a totally out of touch white man interrogating Bibby. Open your eyes man and recognize the bullshyt that cyph, ebro and RoseNerd were on

All these lil Chicago n1ggas name themselves after NBA players and name their gang sets after rap crews...

How can athletes and rappers still claim that they're not really role models?

I don't think athletes deny that they are role models. But in this sense the rappers aren't even idolizing the nba players by playing hoops, they only take their names. There is no real "basketball" connection

I did and I'm not blind to anything. The point of the interview was to make Bibby NOT look like another ignorant ass chicago rapper. It was to get him to say the cliche ass "this is just entertainment."

Again, I don't understand how rappers aren't the biggest snitches themselves. Y'all really think this interview is going to be the silver bullet for chicago PD to bust him? He's on the drill scene. This ain't like Sway asking Chance if he kept an illegal firearm.

Again, from the very beginning of the interview, they state, "you're different." Hence why they big him up for being an "artist." That's why later they compare him to Lil Reese and Keef and ask him why he feels he's more accepted by people that don't actually like drill music.

Nothing but softballs the entire interview. He's 19 and wasn't prepped right. He has the opportunity to start fresh in a lot of people's minds. He doesn't need to stop spitting that free crack. But he needs to realize that he has to modify his angle as he develops.

the issue is these cats interviewing style.
They seem so out of touch that it makes it awkward...I would expect this from a cat like Jay Leno, but these Hot 97 boys need to stop.

This is basically what I been tryna say..me being from NY and listening to these dumb ass dudes who fukked the whole NY climate up on the radio..let's me know that they not as genuine as the homie @tru_m.a.c is making..them dudes don't research the artists that they bring up there..most of their interviews they do have barely anything to do with the artists music and u never walk away from one of their interviews feeling like u learned something new..Ebro SHOULDNT be interviewing cats anyway.. He shouldn't be on the camera all the time but he's an attention craving program director..PEOPLE don't open up unless u make them feel comfortable..and when u got cornballs like Ebro and Rosenburg who's so outta touch with the culture interviewing u..it makes things awkward..cause them dudes is awkward squares themselves..

After watching that wack ass WSHH documentary about the Chicago hip-hop scene, clearly Bibby was the nicest.
