Bron has been trash on defense but I don't think that has anything to do with stats and more to do with him trying to save energy and not being properly coached. Bron wants to do everything so he's out of gas and decides to play garbage defense to reserve energy. He needs a coach who will check his ass and he needs his role reduced on the team to just scorer. He's leading the team in too many categories. He would have benefited from a hall of fame reputable coach during his career who can check him.

Losing to a team led by Al Horford and some rookies is worse than 2011 Dallas. Way worse.
This Celtics team is a team most thought be eliminated in round 1. LeBron James losing to them would be a joke.

If you look at my posts, I have not been that hard on LeBron's defense in the regular season other than when his stans try to claim he's the MVP or clear cut best player in the league. I understand that at his age, he can't play elite defense every night in the regular season. He has to conserve himself for the playoffs.
But we're in the playoffs right now. No more conserving energy for more important games. Its win or go home. The fact LeBron is still not playing defense is why I made this thread. Because now it is a question of stats versus winning. At least in the regular season there is the excuse that he's saving energy for the playoffs.

Unfortunately the media continues to defend his failures. As long as he pads his stats, they'll blame his teammates for the loss.
And that's exactly what LeBron wants. His teammates shouldering the blame for all his losses and him getting all the praise if they win.

Funny how this video doesn't point out the effort plays Lebron made on defense...The charge he took in game 1,the chase down block on Rozier,the chase down on Horford that led to a celtic turnover.etc......Don't just show the bad,show the good.....Lebron's been very good on offense and average on defense in the series...while most of his teammates have been bad on offense and bad on defense.
