it depends if the scaler they're using is better than the scaler in your 4k TV. I think in general it is better to handle the scaling before it gets to the display. that way the display is receiving a native 4k image

That's not alot of stuff for it right now. But their getting more. If your getting a new tv definately get 4k if you can afford it
