Honestly everything looks better. I do use a 4K compatible amp in my setup, but the TV natively up scales. Honestly the difference in price from the 1080p joints was like $300. Was a no brainier for me, given the significant bump in picture quality. So if you have a 4K tv, will games look better on it or is this just for media stuff?
I said this like 4 years ago, but all the sony stans including @Fatboi1 said it was cool cause liquid was on their sideIt's not really clear what's acceptable and what isn't on this forum half the time. I think that's part of the problem.

I wouldn't buy the $399 joint but an Nvidia Shield TV 500GB is about the same price as the 500GB S. It isn't even half the gaming device nor does it have a 4K Blu Ray drive. This is strictly an emotional purchase. Microsoft knows how to sell gimmicks and forget about the actual product. I won't say anything I'll let y'all go ahead and let this $399 box collect dust when you get it.
They're supposed to look better than a standard XB1, but not as good as ones from a scorpio.
Well Scorpio is a new system so that shyt will look next gen compared to what we have now.
4K up scaling doesn't look good on some video games for example 2K looks fukking horrible but movies are great. Microsoft is using HDR and I don't really know anything about it.
The HDR is separate from the One S's native upscaling of 1080p games. HDR is a specific feature of a select few new televisions, and the one s is able to output that range for them.
Xbox One S will upscale all games to 4K resolution
Just ordered mine on anazon
I dont have a 4k tv though. Thinking about copping one just for gaming
Im about to, probably next pay dayCop one very impressive had mine about two years. Will get a new one come this holiday season. PC gaming in 4K is awesome
You might want to shop around. $400 is not a "cheap 4K blu ray player".I want to use the 500gb as a cheap 4K Blu Ray player but I can't justify it with Scorpio less than 16 months away and me already having the first piece of shyt X1![]()
You're such a fan boy...the point is that even with streaming services, your 4K options are limited. No you idiot. Blu ray isn't the only 4k media options out there. Streaming is the main source for many 4K streams, particularly Netflix.
Again, you know nothing. Be quiet.
