Seat obviously isn't hot yet, and I would've let Darnold walk too - but it's gonna be a bad look if JJM doesn't work.

2026 will be year 5 for KOC, how many coaches not named Marvin Lewis survive that stretch to start a tenure without a playoff win ? Clock's ticking.

I simply dont understand this. yea you drafted JJ, but realistically. If JJ were to do what darnold did last year you would consider him a cornerstone of what you trying to build.

the devil you know and all that. the meme "this could be anything, even this" is very strong here

EXACTLY

Yeah Darnold flamed out in the playoffs. But there wasn’t any chance they had of beating the Rams. It was a terrible matchup all around. There was nothing Darnold could have done honestly.

And they knew damn well JJ was a complete mystery. They barely saw dude even practice. To just assume he was ready to take over is insane. Now you are in QB hell with no realistic way out unless JJ magically starts ballin. You go from a 14-3 contender to this because you think you are smarter than everyone else.

I wouldn’t want to be a fan of this team. :scust:

Vikings are stupid as hell.

Had a winning season last year. Got rid of that QB just to put it all on a rookie (not technically but he didn’t play last year). Now they don’t trust him, most likely lying about his injury. Wasting a good defense and potential hall of fame receivers season. All because they chose to draft a mediocre QB.

fukking dumb. Should’ve just paid Darnold have JJ sit behind him and try to run it back this year.

Because they get that it was the team around him and not Sam. They felt like JJ’s ceiling is higher once he becomes acclimated versus Sam being Sam. They don’t see a Stafford in LA with him.

They're dumb af. Darnold is just as good if not better than he was last year.

Don’t know how Cam Bynum played for Minny last year, but dude was a big disruptor for these same Chargers a few days ago.

The Vikings have struggled with drafting players but excelled in free agency. Having a QB on a rookie deal is definitely a good way to continue the FA focus. The problem is that the draft struggles seem to also include JJ lol.

This is basically his rookie year so maybe he puts it together next season. But is that risk worth wasting what could have been a year to contend?

In mathematics there’s something called a Markov process, which means what happens next is only dependent on the state of affairs right now and not the past.

This nfl season is even worse, the state of affairs right now is irrelevant :mjlol:

Next week Vikings might beat the lions, and everyone will have to walk back their “what have you learned” takes :bryan:

Every qb is a product of the team around him though :mjlol:

JJ ceiling is higher than 35 tds?

I guess he may get that total by his fourth season :dead: bro wasnt amazing in college, boy genius just got ahead of himself with the qbwhisperer shyt and now they stuck. If ur rook cant get burn and look good outside of one quarter with those receivers

Hindsight is indeed 20/20 and darnold is still balling and njibga is looking like offensive player of the year. They completely botched this
