Vikings are in a rough position because if JJ isn't good - or simply has typical rookie issues - the team will take a step back and waste another year of Jefferson's prime. Flip side if you pay Darnold you already know what you get. It's the Kirk experience but arguably worse: you win a lot of games and then drop a turd in the playoffs because you cannot compete against the best teams. Everything hinges on JJ being good and while I'm a Michigan fan...ehhh. There's a reason he was generally viewed as the

Also we gotta talk about Flores. Lions completely exposed this defense last season and this season. And the Rams did the same. That entire team just feels like one big gimmick.

This might be a hot take...but is there such a thing as wasting an elite WRs prime? A lot of elite WRs have never really achieved much in the playoffs.

Unlike a qb it's pretty hard to build around a single WR.

If JJ isn't good, you move on from him. But at least he's in his rookie deal. Unlike Atlanta who wasted 100 million guaranteed. This isn't a situation like the Cowboys. Where you're forced to pay up for a qb cause you have no other options. And look at the Falcons. paid all this money for Cousins when they already had a first round qb. Listen if there's no JJ Mccarthy, Darnold gets paid.

Crazy nobody wants to talk about Kevin O'Donnell's playcalling, they go 7 down and they're immediately throwing it like they're down 14. It's automatically "Sam Darnold is trash".
The run game was doing absolutely nothing. And darnold had people open he just couldn’t get it to them. I will say he fukked up in Detroit not taking the field goals tho.
