I agree with a lot of what he says :yeshrug:

If you want to attract casual viewers along with wrestling fans, just having good matches isn't gonna do it. Monday Night Raw sucks because the interviews and storylines and vignettes (if you can call them that) are super lame, not because there are too many of them.

And if you think anyone other than the beardest of 'beards is flipping through channels and stopping on ROH, I don't know what to tell ya :francis:

it always seems like NXT is a way for people to not feel guilty about their WWE bias.

so they carry on like its really a different promotion.

most of their fans wouldnt be watching if it was under different ownership..
I have always been of the opinion that if NXT was an independently owned wrestling company with no connections to WWE that the WWE stans who act like it is the greatest thing in the world would clown it like they do TNA.

Week to week continuity, clear defined heels/babyfaces. Storylines with clear ending and directions for the wrestlers afterwards. Good matches. Each week is building towards the next show/takeoever

Literally everything that you say isnt on Raw. And its some how overrated..

Im not saying NXT isnt without its faults but seems like its hated for simply being under the WWE name.

I don't think anyone here has said NXT was bad. Just that it gets overrated immensely solely because it is a WWE product.
Most of the diehards treat NXT like it is doing something revolutionary when it is basically a clone of ROH with better production values.

1 month into 2016 - my rankings as a wrestling fan, even if NXT must be seperate:
1. NJPW
2. ROH
3. LU
4. TNA
5. WWE/NXT

that NJPW rank isnt fair seeing that its more of a best-of show.

TNA will forever be last for me.

why?

even when they have the best product, theyre still last ehh?

honestly, ive enjoyed smackdown more than NXT for a minute now.

NXT only be having 2 matches worth watching and theyre usually not as good as the best matches on any of the other shows - raw/smackdown included.

He also penned the WOAT era, 2000 wcw and years of TNA.

GOATsso is WOATsso unless Vince McGOAT is keeping him in check :heh:

freddie prinze jr > vince russo

There is no WOAT era in T:flabbynfif:A, it's all trash

WCW was was already dead before he arrived, laughable he gets all the blame

WWE lost more than half its viewers since GOATsso left, numbers don't lie

 he left BEFORE wrestlemania 2000 build began, literally all of WWE's best and biggest draws ever were all after he left, and ALL of wcw's were after he went there.

I can respect what Russo is saying about entertainment and wrestling, but I truly appreciate both aspects equally. ROH has been a little more enjoyable lately, but I still prefer LU and NJPW over it. WWE and ROH are about equal for me. All in all, wrestling is pretty good overall these days. So I'm :eat:

LU - stories, good matches, fukkery (1st show was very entertaining and the most fun I have with wrestling during the week. Catrina/Dario)
NJPW - great matches (can't get into the feuds to well witht the AXS TV format)
TNA - fukkery, solid matches, stories (Rosemary, the Wolves, X-division and Matt and Jeff's story)
ROH - good matches, some good stories (the hour flies by! Jay/Elgin/Moose surprised me a lot)
WWE - good matches, some good stories (I like what they're doing with Lesnar, Reigns, Ambrose and HHH honestly)

2000 was also the end of the attitude era, by 2001 ratings were on the decline

Again, when he left, the ratings with him

WCW ratings were falling heavy before he arrived and they were hemorrhaging money before he arrived. bytchoff fukked up things good which was why he was fired in the first place

i just don't understand why he has anything to do with wrestling.

I understand what hes coming from he just said it like an idiot. What he means is that the match doesnt matter if theres no story.
