Virginia governor apologizes for 'racist and offensive' costume in photo showing people in blackface and KKK garb

(CNN)Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam confirmed Friday he was in a racist yearbook photo showing one person dressed in blackface and another in the KKK's signature white hood and robes, and apologized for "the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now."

The photograph, which was obtained by CNN, appears in the 1984 yearbook for Eastern Virginia Medical School. Northam did not say whether he was wearing the KKK outfit or blackface.

Age range was 4 to 23, hundreds of people, directly.

I also volunteered my services to several non-profits in my spare time on top of that.

I've spent my entire career (I'm 36) working in public and private k-12 education. Education is a very dear subject to me. I disturbs me to see someone just write off drastic changes to history and social studies curriculum, especially aomeone who has a background in the field. Sad, really. Carry on.

I have a family to raise and I need someone in office that’s focused on keeping the money coming into this state.

They get their real education from their family.

Couple of my partners voted for her bc she is a Black woman. I thought long and hard about voting for her as well lol

Clearly, no thought went into if you voted for someone who literally doesn't align with our views. This idea that we should support all black people no matter what is just straight-up stupid.
