For the record, I know people was waiting on him to mention the Clips drug dealing days. He co-signed what Malice said, Malice said his two cousins ran the projects that they were from so that's how they got into the game. He said he knew the Clips cousins but he said he didn't know what the Clips had going on themselves in their neighborhood because he's not from there.

He said he clicked a little more with pusha because he was more “street” than malice

Pretty much always hear the opposite..something ain’t adding up here :lupe:
Probably because at that time Malice had that military background established and maybe that influenced his demeanor

He knew they cousins because they were on a higher level, closer to the level Geezy got to. Plus, they were older...

When I moved to VB everybody there had the same story, either they don't know anything or they verify Push and Mal were in it for awhile, they just wasn't no heavyweights. I knew a guy who used to kick it with Mal, he was one of the first people I met who told me they were legit. Not some killers, and not some heavyweights, but people who were around they turf in they era all say they had they hands on something...

Bigger nikkas never gonna know most cats doing it on a lower level, but especially if they not from the same hood...

Bridle Creek is in Salem in Southwest Virginia Beach. They did say it was more active back in the days, but it was never really a housing project, just a low income apartment area surrounded by middle class areas. This is Bridle Creek:

Google Maps

Geezy said he grew up in Bayside, which is 9 miles away in Northwest VB, this is a block in Bayside:

Google Maps

You know 9 miles may as well be a world away, you're going to different schools, different social circles, etc. In his own words and according to his indictment, most of the people Geezy was messing with were from his area, Norfolk, or Green Run, which is in another area of Southwest but a little ways away from Bridle Creek...

He in between Mal and Push age wise, so if they were bigger, he woulda known them.....funny thing about this, since I didn't grow up here to see the area firsthand, the only area he named that's still really active like that is "Gang" Run (Green Run). The whole Salem area where Bridle Creek is at is mellow, the way it is today not many kids would grow up there and fall into the streets unless they affiliated with people from outside the area. Bayside is mostly suburban but has hit or miss blocks and is real close to some active ass areas, so it's easy to envision someone growing up there being exposed to the shyt Geezy said he was in his childhood. It's still somewhat sketch. One of my potna grew up between Bayside and Norview...

I miss The Beach, man!

Following Geezy's own timeline, he ain't meet Clipse till The Funeral, which was '99. So at this time Mal woulda been around 27, Geezy around 24, Push around 22...

For all we know Mal was already hands off; I always heard that they were still hustling for a minute but I don't know that to be fact. Plus, Mal was older, probably had a different peer group, and at any rate Mal always was a little unique from the cats he hung around...

I'm not sure why he'd say Push was a little more street other than they were closer in age and Mal was already married with kids. The general story known about Clipse is Mal obviously jumped off the porch first, and was in and around some shyt, Push stepped off later, and they grinded together. Nobody really says who was "more/less" street but the vibe is most people would say Mal...

The overt acts in Geezy's indictment don't even begin until 2004, (which likely based on whenever a CI decides to debrief)

And as the Clipse were rapping about drugs on the song that Geezy first heard them on "Got Caught Dealin'", it's safe to assume they knew from their own lives as well

All this era of Twitter bite and youtube clip gotcha shorthand is just that, and I am the first one who met someone from VA Beach and asked about Pusha, they called up their homie in the feds RIGHT then and put him on speaker. Said he was in it, but not like his big homie, aka Geezy.

if you didn't think that's what is always was, it actually invalidates your opinion on street shyt, more so than validates it, because it's nothing to knock off some kilos if you really in the game, how many rap verses could I myself pen, I could be talking about shyt I did in high school, and people could call me a liar, but they would be wrong. Of course Pusha never ordered 1000 bricks, or busted down a half ton. That's called creative license in music. Everyone does it.
