Honestly, and I don't say this as someone against reparations, but in terms of median income and economic safety nets, reparations probably only JUST brings black Americans into the picture. My concern is that the structure of American society will wipe out any gains made by reparations in less than a decade.

More needs to change than just reparations. There needs to be a real levelling of the playing field.

bingo. It’s not just the money. It’s the entire structure.

Facts. I’m 100 percent for reparations. All the arguments against it are bullshyt. However, the way some people talk about reparations is problematic. Some seem to think if we get reparations it will be a cure all. That isn’t close to being true. Especially, because the “check” most likely won’t be life changing money. That is why we need specific policies to address the plight of Black people.
