I'm not just talking about visuals. But from a gameplay standpoint as well. The games are shallow minigame type stuff.

Things you wouldn't even touch without amazement of wears off, your left with some shyt that really isn't even enjoyable.
If you mean you think the VR games will just be a "novelty" that wears off after a while, idk. That may be true. Depends on the game/person though.

As long as VR gets steady game support, it should be straight. I don't think VR will be relegated to small games. It's still early. It's ready but devs will still be trying to figure out what works/doesn't works.

Fallout 4 is probably going to be the biggest game that will determine where VR can get to. The fact that the game can be played in first person and puts you in that crazy world.

Will likely need an HTC Vive to get the best experience though :manny:

It has to be on Playstation due to power.

Unless they start allowing some PSneo only VR games.

Looks like another gimmick product to me when it comes to mass market gaming. Enthusiast purchases can only carry it so far.

I can understand the concern, but I think I do agree with @Ciggavelli in where Oculus likely has the ideal solution for playing with an xbox controller instead of paddles like the HTC Vive.

The Vive is just the technically more advanced headset, but the paddles worry me. I had a lot of fun with it, but we are way too early to see if it will be a huge success anyway. The PS VR is the one that has the chance to really get this to mass market, but I am not sure with it running on PS4 hardware :francis:
You can use your Xbox Controller with the Vive as well. It literally can do everything the Oculus can do and then some.

Smart man

Edit: What is amazon allowance?
Pretty much allows an auto-refill on your amazon balance. I actually think it's a great tool for those who complain about buying consoles.

example if you want the XBOX One S, you just set it to auto-refill $29 a week and you will have enough to buy the 500GB model on day 1.

VR will be what the Wii was with motion sports and wifit, it'll be a bit more successful if

A) Porn VR becomes popular
B) sports VR becomes a thing.

For gaming the OP is right. Only so many FPS, detective and scare jump games before things get mehhh

The kinnect had a bunch of features that could have been super cool for gaming. Most people just dont like the ideal of a camera always looking at them 24/7

I haven't touched my headsets since I beat "Edge of Nowhere" on the OR. I got bored of the gimmicky games. We need more high quality games for these things to really take off :manny:

The Vive controllers are gimmicks. I don't care what anybody says....they're glorified Wiimotes. The OR experience is much better. But, still, not that many games :manny:
