But the truth is when they were alive I was not listening to them.

Yes I agree. Charlamagne the God kept talking about Nip heavy leading up to his last days. I remember him saying Nip had the best interview of the year so far and the best album, and this is BEFORE he died so I see what you're saying. After hearing that I kept planning on watching the interview and soaking the album but never got around to it.

I was hella sleep on the nikka so I'm speaking from experience. When he died it still felt weird as fukk even though I wasn't super hip to all the shyt he was doing behind the scenes and in his hood. After his death, I soaked all his interviews, music etc. His interviews were incredible and his music was solid, I just wasn't too big on the production choices.

In essence, today I believe he is a legend 100%. Prior to his death, he could be considered a legend based off of his business and community acts alone, but he wasn't around or big enough to be considered a legend musically in my opinion.

But he wasnt because people werent fukking with him hard enough when he was here. Now that he's gone, they want to make him a legend and act like they werent fukking with him before.
