if i'm the lakers, I sell him on the idea that kobe plays one night of a back to back and wade plays the other. we keep em both at 30 minutes per game. they each only gotta play 60-65 games a season. that would keep em fresh and they woulnd't have the pressure of carrying a team on their own.

i think it could work.

It could work but that's too much money tied up in :flabbynsick: players. Wade looked good when he was rested last year, but he and Kobe both need a younger Tier One player to work with, not a rookie or second year player. Let's say the lakers get Wade and Rondo and Kobe stays healthy, that team is only good enough to be an irritant out West.

they would need okafor to be a young tim duncan (20/10 as a rookie).

He was drafted the same year as LeBron. He never had a shot at being the best player of his generation. Only idiot Heat fans were calling him the best in 2010.
Never had a shot? By 2009 he already accomplished more than anyone else from that class. Not just in terms of hardware but statistically he was basically a SG version of LBJ. All around game almost as good as LBJ's and better than anyone else from that draft. If Wade stayed healthy post-2009, and LBJ never came to Miami, than it becomes quite the argument. Remember, LBJ had more to gain joining Wade than Wade did joining LBJ. Wades legacy was already carved out in his 1st 5yrs. Wades numbers dipped harder than LBJ's did when they joined forces. Maybe Wade doesn't have as many deep playoff runs with no LBJ on the squad, but Wades all-time ranking in certain categories(Points, Assist, Rebs,) skyrocket being the sole superstar. Wade would be surpassing "Player X" in the record books on a nightly basis. Not to mention he damn near eclipsed LBJ as the Finals MVP in 2011. No other LBJ teammates has a shot at doing what Wade did to LBJ in 2011. LBJ wasn't an Alpha for the 1st time in his career.

It's good move if they sign him. They ain't losing nothing. Kobe comes off the books after the season. Salary cap goes up. They can still sign someone decent players. They not gonna get any franchise players. Only like 4 franchise players under 30 in the league currently and they ain't coming to L.A. Durant, Westbrook, Davis & Harden. And they are all glass. So sitting on money does nothing for them.

All that's nice but he never had a shot. Dwyane Wade was never going to be better than LeBron James, barring some kind of crazy injury. Just wasn't going to happen.
