Okafor sat out the whole season with neck surgery. Best believe Riley and RayRay have been in contact with him and told him to enjoy time with his wife and newborn baby. If they get him, it solves the post defense and rebounding issues immediately.

Could potentially see this next season:

Okafor
Bosh
LBJ
Wade
Lowry or Napier

:whew:

How did signing an Injure prone Center worked out for them Last season? and Bosh as time goes by continues with his transformation from a Power Forward to a 6'11" shooting guard. I hope they're not putting their hopes on Emeka Okafor to carry the load against the big men in the league.

The only way Melo comes is if they kick Bosh to the curb. Something tells me they're gonna do some shady shyt to Bosh if he opts out.

It'd be stupid for Bosh/Wade to opt-Out without already having the other contract agreed and signed by the team in their hands already. They have ALL the leverage in this situation.

Ok, not to troll or anything but I see everyone taking a lower pay to get melo. It's he gonna be making more than everyone else? Cuz if I was them, I'll be like motherfukker you need us. We went to the finals four times and we gotta mess up our money cuz you can barely lead a team to the playoffs let alone out of the first round? He better buy them watches or tv or something.

:what: You are acting like they need an all-star at center. They need an effective post defender and rebounder/shot blocker that can score 4-5 buckets a night. Okafor fits that.

We gonna act like the Bulls dint bring in Rodman and Bryan Williams (top 10 PF in the L at the time) as a free agent for a year either :sas1:
Rodman got traded to the Bulls for scraps because he was causing problems in the Spurs locker room and they wanted to get rid of his ass. This was the summer after the Bulls lost in the 2nd round because we didn't have a pf.

Brian Williams came in with 9 games left in the year.

Kukoc was getting more than Pippen and Bryan Williams signed a small deal to win. Not to forget Harper.

Kukoc was making more than Pippen because Pip signed a long term deal back in 91 that management warned him against doing, because salaries were going up and they told him if he signed that deal they weren't gonna re-negotiate it. Scottie signed and complained about the deal once the salaries went up, he wasn't happy with that, it wasn't some plan for him to take a paycut for the betterment of the team. He was one of the highest paid players in the league when he signed that 7 year deal.

Harper's contract was pretty nice for that time.

Rich white owner must be loving the fact he got fans using guilt on players to take less money....so he can make more money..

:heh:
it's sad how simple minded these negros are :snoop:

these fools are not just applauding guys for taking millions less than what they're worth in the prime of their careers while guys like steve kerr (failure as a gm, ZERO coaching experience) make 5 million dollars a year, they EXPECT them to do it. :what:

:russ: When the three joined the Heat, people on here were :salute: them for making cacs mad by choosing their destiny instead of sticking with teams that weren't doing shyt.

The team has traded picks, amnestied an important role player to save their billionaire white owner money, then their white GM held a press conference telling them to man up and take pay cuts so they can do their job and add talent and now people are going :blessed:

:wow:

alot of you fakkits were applauding Tim duncan when you thought he would take less :smh:

Its okay as long as the Heat don't do it. But if Lebron took a paycut to play for their team, they would be all giddy like...

Brolic... Alcoholics
:mjlol: the lack of common sense in this thread tho

UD was guaranteed 4.6 million on a one year contract. What will his worth be after next season? What kind of free agent contract would a 36 year old get after next season? A vet minimum? 2 million at most from a bottom feeder team? So he turns 4.6 million guaranteed into maybe 6 million over 2 years guaranteed. He just upped his guaranteed money and gets to stay where he wants. How again is he losing in this?

Same with Wade, who by Coli consensus is washed. He is guaranteed like 41 million over the next 2 years. What would a 34 year old Dwyane Wade command as a free agent in 2 years? Not fukking much. So instead he takes a 4 year 55 million dollar deal,he just upped his guaranteed money by at least 14 million, but somehow he is losing in this?

Coli logic

:russ: @ Wade playing more than two more years. Dude missed 28 games for some muhfukkin rest. You expect him to play 4 more years? :heh:

That's why I say, more than anyone else in this group, Wade is stupid for not taking the rest of that cheese.

LOL, what's really a joke is believing that MONEY is real. It has no value.

it hurts me to know that some of you guys are really this dumb :to:

players like lebron should be fighting to not have max salaries, not taking paycuts. on an open market bron would get 30-40 mil a year.....

but i guess everyone doesn't have the mental strength to not let critics shame you into taking a fraction of what you're worth to chase rings.

shoutout to Kobe for doing it the right way :salute:
They still on the Plantation. Riley is their massa, rippin' em off.......

The problem is there is a league full of Derek Fishers that benefit from having the best players salaries capped

It's more money for them.
