:what: You are acting like they need an all-star at center. They need an effective post defender and rebounder/shot blocker that can score 4-5 buckets a night. Okafor fits that.

He was barely that in his "Prime", what makes you think he will be that after taking a year off from that neck injury :russ::mjlol:You do know he will not be playing garbage time with the Bobcats anymore.

Ya nikkaz do think that scoring 4-5 buckets in MEANINGFUL NBA games is that easy.

These dudes are resigning and getting more guaranteed money in the long run. It just gives the gm more flexibility right now to construct a better roster. This is better for Haslem in actuality as he's a veteran minimum player who wouldn't receive any offer at all come next season and probably have a forced retirement.

This way of contracting gonna eventually f*** their cap hardbody because of Wade's :flabbynsick:. Miami's window imo gonna be two seasons at max with Wade re-upping for 12-15 per for at least 4 more years. If Melo comes it's fine but if not :ballis:

Don't be surprised to see Bron with a eto option starting after year 1 with his new contract :mjlol:

:russ: @ Wade playing more than two more years. Dude missed 28 games for some muhfukkin rest. You expect him to play 4 more years? :heh:

That's why I say, more than anyone else in this group, Wade is stupid for not taking the rest of that cheese.

:what: he sat because he was recovering from off season surgery. You really out of your fukking mind if you think Wade will opt out and not play the rest of his new contract, that's the whole point. Guaranteed money over the last 4 years of his career

It's one thing say he'll to play it out. It's another thing to actually HAVE to play it out. And it's clear that he can't.

He last played for the Wizards last season and put up 10ppg and 9 rebs and played in 79 games. Just had a newborn after the 2013 season, had a herniated disc in his neck that initially didn't require surgery. He gets traded to the Suns and all of sudden he decides to get surgery. Dude wanted to sit back relax, spend time with his wife and first child while collecting money. He is only 31, he will be on a team once the dust clears with the big free agents. If you don't think the Heat could not benefit from his production, you don't know basketball.

Rodman got traded to the Bulls for scraps because he was causing problems in the Spurs locker room and they wanted to get rid of his ass. This was the summer after the Bulls lost in the 2nd round because we didn't have a pf.

Brian Williams came in with 9 games left in the year.

Kukoc was making more than Pippen because Pip signed a long term deal back in 91 that management warned him against doing, because salaries were going up and they told him if he signed that deal they weren't gonna re-negotiate it. Scottie signed and complained about the deal once the salaries went up, he wasn't happy with that, it wasn't some plan for him to take a paycut for the betterment of the team. He was one of the highest paid players in the league when he signed that 7 year deal.

Harper's contract was pretty nice for that time.

:russ: When the three joined the Heat, people on here were :salute: them for making cacs mad by choosing their destiny instead of sticking with teams that weren't doing shyt.

The team has traded picks, amnestied an important role player to save their billionaire white owner money, then their white GM held a press conference telling them to man up and take pay cuts so they can do their job and add talent and now people are going :blessed:

:wow:
If i remember correctly Rodman got traded but then got $10M to reup. I don't know all the details about Pippen but all i remember is he begged for them to renegotiate his deal and they didn't. Kukoc just benefitted from the higher salaries. MJ had a hefty 20M+ slaty his last 2 or 3 years and then Harper had a contract similar to that of Pippen's

Either way you slice it You had experienced veteran players all all star caliber (exept for Harper due to injuries) that were on the squad. So spare me the over-talented teams being bad for the NBA bullshyt. Americans motto is win by all means necessary. The Heat is only putting the shyt into practice

I didn't say the Heat wouldn't benefit, I just don't think that they will benefit to the extent that it being thrown out there, I cant agree with the statement of Getting Okafor "it solves the post defense and rebounding issues immediately" Their Post Defense and Rebounding issues go deeper than that, Only an Borderline All Star caliber Center can solve that.
