Him, Lebron, Durant, etc. never make what they truly deserve. LeBron is worth $75 million to any team in the league, just like Kobe was during his peak. The apparel and ticket sales they generate are off the charts.
I expect you to own up to that prediction when Kobe comes back averaging 25 a night.

he obviously didn't do anything in 2013-2014, but in 2012-2013 he averaged 27/6/6 and led one of the most inspiration comebacks in sports history to get the lakers in the playoffs

taking a paycut in san antonio doesn't make it justified. a paycut is a paycut....it's not the players responsibility to help small market owners not pay tax penalties.
with that said, duncan took a "paycut" when he was 36 years old and wasn't considered an elite player by most people on this board. i don't know why people would compare that to the best player in the league taking a paycut in the prime of his career.
