:what:

The 2011 Mavericks, 2009-2010 Lakers, 2007 Spurs, and the 2005 Spurs......none of them had 2 players that ever made the Max in their career
Dallas had a ridiculous salary that year near 90 million . Max contract or not

Teams shouldn't give players care packages when they are aging and unproductive. Kobe isn't gonna help his team do shyt next year on the court
Him, Lebron, Durant, etc. never make what they truly deserve. LeBron is worth $75 million to any team in the league, just like Kobe was during his peak. The apparel and ticket sales they generate are off the charts.

I expect you to own up to that prediction when Kobe comes back averaging 25 a night. :umad:

Because they used their money to build a full team rather than just buying superstars:sas1:

wait, how is kobe not a max player? :what:

he obviously didn't do anything in 2013-2014, but in 2012-2013 he averaged 27/6/6 and led one of the most inspiration comebacks in sports history to get the lakers in the playoffs

this was kobe's last real game

please tell me how that isn't a max player? he fukked his knee up bad in the 3rd quarter and stayed out there to dominate and keep his word about getting the lakers to the playoffs

who else that's in the league right now can do what he did? who has that toughness? who has that ability?

tell me with a straight face you wouldn't give a guy the max off this one clip :wow:

go to the 1:55 mark

that fluidity, that grace :banderas:

most courageous game yall have seen

San Antonio is a smaller market breh...

We not talking Miami,LA or NYC....

The players know and understand that they cant spend money like the other big market teams..

Lebron taking a paycut in a big market area like Miami is ridiculous...

the market he's in is irrelevant

taking a paycut in san antonio doesn't make it justified. a paycut is a paycut....it's not the players responsibility to help small market owners not pay tax penalties.

with that said, duncan took a "paycut" when he was 36 years old and wasn't considered an elite player by most people on this board. i don't know why people would compare that to the best player in the league taking a paycut in the prime of his career.

Ehhhh.. I disagree kobe def crippled the Lakers for the next half a decade possibly. It's going to be hard convincing anyone to go there who doesn't get overpaid. Going to be interesting to watch to say the least. I'm all for nikkas getting money but when it comes to wanting to compete for a title kobe should have taken a cut at this stage of he wants a ring

The biggest loser in paycut is def bosh he has no little to no side endorsements that will help
This is stupid talk. How about if everyone played for what they're worth then everything would balance out. Stupid n!ggaz taking pay cuts when 78% of players go broke when they retire.
