nikka what? If everyone played for what they're worth sorry ass nikkas like Rudy gay wouldn't have a max contract

Multiple teams were willing to give it to him so he's technically "worth it" that's how the market works.....worth is determined by how much someone will pay

We need to remove max salaries and 4 year rookie deals.

Yea you can only blame dumb gms and owners who hurt themselves with the CBA.

Yeah but to be fair both were in their late 30s I believe :manny: Melo is still in his prime.

Payton was 34 and came off a year where put up 20, 4, and 8 dimes in SEA and MIL...

Malone was putting up 21, 8 and 5 dimes at age 39 his last year in UTA

Thank you. People stay actin like those dudes had nothing left in the tank. That team woulda won 70 games if they had stayed healthy.

Also, Karl Malone didn't sign for MLE money. He signed for the veteran's minimum, $1.5 million for 2003-2004.

Gary Payton was the one who took the MLE sized contract and left about $5 or $6 million per season on the table to sign with LAL. I think it was the Blazers who wanted to sign him to a $10 million per year contract.

San Antonio is a smaller market breh...

We not talking Miami,LA or NYC....

The players know and understand that they cant spend money like the other big market teams..

Lebron taking a paycut in a big market area like Miami is ridiculous...

Miami isn't a big market though.

Exactly, I remember Peyton doing dudes dirty when he was on the Bucks. These guys still had game left.

Karl Malone played 42 games for the Lakers, the lowest in his entire career and retired the following season. Obviously he didn't have shyt left in the tank. Gary Payton hung around and ring chased and didn't average much of shiit.
