this shyt is silly. looks to me that the place was closed and not letting in more customers but just letting the ones who were there before closing eat.

Except Waffle House doesn’t “close” you nit wit smh :snoop: these are the type of stupid ass comments that get people negged.

I mean can you read breh or are you really just that illiterate?

The owner clearly says “those doors should never have been locked for any reason and they certainly shouldve been unlocked and opened if a patron walks up.”

Woman Claims Waffle House in Pinson, Alabama Locked Her Out Due to Race
SHARE U.S.

A woman was reportedly denied entry to a Waffle House in Pinson, Alabama, because of the color of her skin. Jacinda Mitchell took a video last week that showed the doors to the establishment were locked, but that there were white people inside. It led Mitchell to conclude she was refused service because she was a person of color.

“They have the door locked and they have customers in here, and they’re saying that they’re closed. The customers are eating and they happen to be white customers only, and I am an African-American,” Mitchell said in the clip. “They have people that they’re serving, but they’re telling me that they’re closed.”

A black woman claimed she was not allowed to eat at a Waffle House in Alabama because of the color of her skin.

Pat Warner, director of public relations and external affairs for Waffle House, said the company is investigating Mitchell’s allegations.

“We have launched an investigation to gather all of the facts. Waffle House is a welcoming place for everyone, and we are fortunate to enjoy a very diverse and loyal customer base who we do our best to serve every day,” Warner said in a statement to AL.com Thursday.

“The employee involved should not have locked the front door at all and should have certainly opened the door for the customer when she arrived. We will get the facts and take appropriate action quickly.”
Just out of curiosity, did she try to walk in after closing hours?

Edit: nvm, I see that it’s a 24 hour place.

Nah.
fukk that.
This is indicative of a larger problem.
Giving your hard earned money to a business that continues to discriminate against black people is stupid.

Is you one of those "oh they didn't discriminate against me so...." type people?

It doesnt matter.

You can throw your hard earned money at a racist establishment if you want Im smarter than that.

Thats why people dont respect our moves and don't respect us. Cause we move stupid as black people sometimes. Our words don't align with our actions.
nikkas been moving stupid 60 years now. I'm not boycotting waffle house because one bytch was probably in a racist ass backwards city.

Most of the folks who died in the shooting plus the guy saved everybody was black:hula: Waffle house discriminates against black folks by locking them out.

Which is it sagat?

i agree with not backing down. not so much about fighting to gain access to spaces where racists dont want us, but making it economically impossible for racists to maintain their power structure.

like when the poppa johns ceo got his summerjam moment for being a racist trump supporter and shyttin on nfl players. we stopped buying their shyt and it hurt their pockets so much the ceo had to step down.

we definitely should keep the heat on situations like this. not because we want to be included, but because we can have success fukking up the money and lives of people who want things to go back to the jim crow days.

there was a thread a few days ago about a young black sister that opened up a chic-fil-a. that's what we need more of. this is how places like black wallstreet got started. pool our resources, buy the block and take it over. make it our own establishment and support our own.

In regard to the topic, a lot of institutional forms of discrimination / disparities would be fixed over night, if black people boycotted a lot of industries for even a month or two.....

One of these days i divulge why i think BLM is bs....
