Wisdom teeth are no joke.

That's why they have pain killers. And a root canal is far worse than having wisdom teeth pulled, I've had both and trust me, you'll take the wisdom tooth extraction over root canal any day. But 3 weeks sounds fishy. Probably got snuffed in the jaw and got it fractured, during xrays they saw the impacted tooth and decided to go ahead and take it out.

Its not he's just having the wisdom tooth pulled. Its impacected meaning they had to cut through the gum to take it out. Sometimes if not done right or too agressive, you can break the persons jaw. I remember the dentist telling me this when i had mine taken out last year. Sometimes peoples jaws get broken, fractured when pulling wisdom teeth. Rare but it happens.
